sealed room w/co2 - AC questions

I am looking for a portable AC unit that will not leak smell or CO2 from my room. window and mini splits are not an option. Before I spend a few hundred on a dual hose portable unit I just want to have a few of you verify the two units below will not leak CO2 or smell. Also any reason to go wiht the more expneisve one or other recomendations?

All those units will exchange a small amount of air from inside. The only way to be completely sealed is to buy a split unit. Sanyo probably makes the cheapest ones you can install yourself with quick connects and pre-charged systems.
How many lights are you running? Most window A/C's are more efficient than portable units because the compressor side is located outside.

Window isnt an option based on location Mini Split will be difficulkt but if there is one with quick connects that I can install myself easily then I could make that work. Do you have a link? Looking to run 1600W aircooled hoods with a propane CO2 generator.

Yah just google sanyo HVAC for a list of their units. If you are only looking at running 1600w then I would just use CO2 tanks.

I use a window unit. Mounted in the garage heat is displaced there but the room unit is sealed so no smell. Just need a way to move the heat. I use a wall fan blowing over the cooling tubes but also to the large area so cools there.

You have to vent air somewhere.
how big is your grow area?

No you dont look up controlled environment agriculture or C.E.A. with modern day AC's you dont really need to vent in a sealed environment the AC provides new fresh air and you should have a carbon scrubber in the room on the floor scrubbing whatever stale air is in the room and the plants munch on co2 at lights on and in return produce fresh new oxygen in your room.

For instance my sealed grow room pulls air from another spare bedroom through ducting, through hood, and exhausts into the attic. My carbon scrubber sits on the floor to scrub whatever stale air. Since I live in AZ all homes come with central AC so I use the homes central AC to cool the room ( every room has a AC vent) The co2 and plants give the room fresh new air just like in nature.

Oh yeah the only AC's that wont suck out odor and co2 are mini splits or central AC.

Doesn't the air flowing from your central a/c into your 'sealed' room displace the co2 enriched air?

Dual hose portable ac's are designed to eliminate negative pressure by using outdoor air to cool the core. The question is how well do they work. Would anyone care to share results with their dual hose models?
