okay so this is my third time growing and am hoping to finally be able to make it to the flowering stage. so i got about 10 seeds germinated i have no idea if they are male or female i heard that you can force them to show their sex and then return them to there flowering state is this true? I am also limted to height so i plan of having a bushy plant what is the minimum time i could wait before i flower the plants.

I don't veg my plants. I simply set the timer to 12/12 from day 1.

I highly recommend it about 1 oz per plant, which is good for the size of the plants you get.

What lights are you using?

You say space is limited and you have 10 seeds??

Yes and no. You can induce flowering, but the plant needs to reach maturity before it will show. Force flowering will make it so as soon as the plant reaches that stage, it shows, then can be put back into veg. As for how long to veg, totally up to you. Keep in mind that a plant will double or triple in size from veg to finish. Topping, super cropping, lst are some methods to keep plants bushy vs tall.

Just thought only problem with growing in 12/12 from the start is that it isn't a great idea to top your plants (the best method to get a bushy plant IMO)

This is because the plants are growing their buds and you don't want to be stressing them as it will reduce yield, the plants never seem to fully heal from a topping before they are ready to harvest. I've got one right now that I topped in 12/12 and it's not looking great 1 month to go and it's barely made cluster of pistels.

Since nobody has answered your question yet, I will. Yes you can put them into 12/12 until they show sex and then revert them to 18/6 or 24/0 to go back to veg after culling males. It will add a few weeks on to your harvest time but you will not be wasting space on dudes. If you plan to veg for 6-7 weeks at least, the preflowers will show by then anyways, so sexing is not needed really. I've noticed Indicas show preflowers slightly earlier than sativas. Good luck brother.

Hate to say it, especially where you gave my post a like, but if neither myself or weed chip answered the question then neither have you.
Your 6-7 week veg time can change due to grower error, how long to veg is grower preference as well (which he asked but you did not answer). Based on his height limits, veg time and treatment of the plant will play a roll. Short veg time and/or plant training will help with height restrictions. Again, not trying to split hairs, but saying you were the only answer was wrong. Lol

I germinated about 10 seeds because i wasn't sure if they'd sprout or would be majority male, i only plan on having maybe 2-3 plants. So if i plant the sprouted seeds i could start off with a 12/12 lighting and the plants would show there sex? then switch to a 24/0 to go back to veg for about 6 weeks then go back to a 12/12 for flowering?

I pretty much did the same thing you did. Germinated 7 seeds of unknown. 2 didnt sprout. 2 died right after first leaves showed (due to my inexperiance I'm sure) 2 ended up being males when I switched to flower. The one thing that I can tell you is to watch close. One day they will look like females and litterly 12 hours later they will have balls. Pull as soon as you see balls (don't wait). They say you can veg as long as you want to get desired size.

Yes you can sex them by going 12/12 right away (plant will still have to reach mAturity), then put into veg till ready for flowering. Once sexed, it takes a week or 2 till it gets back into veg mode. You will know when it's in veg mode again due to new growth.
