I'm with you man. With work and everything else I don't have the time to watch over regular seeds. Especially when they're outside and supposed to be hidden. I have had good luck out of fem seeds. Only one herm since I've used fems and that was just because a woodchuck destroyed it three or four different times.
It's awesome not having to worry about wasting space on a bunch of males.

yeah its just not worth it to grow reg seeds. maybe if i get some freebies i will use them in a outdoor grow this year but for indoor in such a small space it is definatly a waste of time. only difference is the breeder (wich can be a big difference) but from what i have read barney's farm and big buddah are both good breeders. if anyone has any experience, good or bad please share

also if anyone has any input from another strain/breeder that has given great results at a reasonable price please feel free to share

Hard to choose eh? The frisian dew looks great - I was very temped to get at some of Heath Robinsons genetics I want to say the frisian is of the base strain he used for his crazy deep purple black rose. Never smoked it but by far one of the prettier strains.

I've heard great things about Barney's Farm - haven't heard as much about big buddha but I haven't heard anything bad either. Big fan of the stinky stinky cheeses eh? I can never determine if I like super fruity tasting/smelling bud or just straight up nasty stank.

I thought cheese was just a particular Skunk cut... Personally I will never believe in a "most potent" as they are all so drastically different in effect. What are you looking for in a high? Is make you go to sleep right away more potent or tons of energy seeing weird colors? My BHO technically has more THC,CBD,CBN... than my bud, but my BHO makes me crazy alert and functional with a racing head and heart - it's almost like speed. I have some goo - much lower THC levels but one hit and you feel like you just smokes opium - super relaxed, tired, you don't want to move at all but melt into a couch and fall asleep. Most people I know would claim the goo to be more potent because it makes them go to sleep...

Better yet, have you smoked blueberry or cheese? I like them both although it is much much harder to find a good example of blueberry than it is to find cheese - from what I hear straight up blueberry is a pain to grow. I want to say the crosses aren't to bad to take care of. Regardless, some of the best buds are the plants that are picky i.e. jack herer.

Blue cheese sounds fantastic but I hope you aren't picking out beans based on just reported THC levels. I'd advise you grabbing beans to a strain you've smoked before and really liked.

well never really smoked anything with a real name. i always get regular bud for 25$ an 1/8th and its junk. it gets you stoned but i think i enjoy the taste of the bud just as much as being baked. i hate smoking dirt tasting pot to get a shitty bake out of the deal.

i actually like both Highs, i love the couchlock at night and the heady high during the day so im still functional.

if you have any good strains in mind that arent too pricy man i would love the suggestions, i do want something with some bag appeal as i would like to get rid of some of it to make my money back on my expenses for my equipment to grow. but bag appeal comes from more apsects than just the strain.

hey Kev, things are good have been rediculesly busy with the holidays and such. 2 plants have been evicted from the cab and still waiting on the other 2 to tell me sex. i have taken 8 clone 4 from each and put them back under 24/0 lighting in hopes that i can get some female clones vegging soon and be able to work with them without the dilema of not knowing if male female, this will allow me to really fine tune my grow in veg so that when i flip i can just sit back relax and wait.

My top recommendation would be DNAs Chocolope. I've had some really really frosty buds but when it comes to consistency in potency, flavor, and ease to grow it takes the cake. All of the seeds I've germed have been healthy and although there was slight slight differences in the appearance of some of the plants the bud off them all was extremely consistent - no crossing your fingers that you'll get the one good pheno of the 5 possible.

Generally if I go into a dispensary and pick out an amazing bag of bud and then go home and order the same seeds or find some of the same clones, I'll end up growing something completely different. I ordered Chocolope because it was one of the tastiest strains I had ever had from a dispensary. When I got the seeds I really really didn't expect my plants to resemble what I had smoked but they were all dead on - really blew my mind.

I guess if you have no expectation it really doesn't matter as long as it's good bud. I have grown out designer seeds though to end up with super frosty tasteless bud. Still can't get over my White Russian - sooooo frosty but damn did it taste like dust, and every time I grew it not just a one off fluke.

Hey bud, I have grown Red Dragon and Vanilla Kush from Barneys. I was impressed with both of them. It was an outdoor grow, but the RD got to about 6ft and bushy outdoors. Got around 22 zips off two plants. I had 7 colas between the two that were bigger than 20oz soda bottles, plus all the other side branches which were plentiful.
The Vanilla Kush on the other hand was a shorter plant. They both got to around 3ft outdoors, though I got them out a little later. Got about 5-6 zips off both together if I recall right. It was some delicious smoke.
I would rate my experience, though it is my only one, an excellent one with Barney's farm. I've never posted pics here yet but I'll see if I can get one of some of my dry goods from this past grow year.

If I could recommend one strain for you to try sometime, it would be SAGE from TH seeds. It's just the best smoke I've about ever tried. Only had one freebie seed and it may have just been a special phemo, but I doubt it. It has the best taste and heady high. I love the SAGE. I'd like to try the sage and sour or the kushage from TH.
