I've been growing P-Ex for a few years now. I'm mostly a Sativa fan living in a Sativa/Hybrid world of smokers. But in my opinion, ya should always have a good, nicely cured, tasty, pretty, smelly Indica on hand. It's just proper etiquette. You never know who might show up, right?
So, this is my latest P-Ex. In a 7 gal smart pot. Soil is FFHF and various AACTs and my latest experiment in creative mulching: dried mint, sage, lavender and Calendula bits. Who knows, maybe it will do a little to ward off the bad beasties. At very least it's working as a mulch.
This one was a clone. In fact she was a very damaged clone, my
last survivor after the spider mites built an entire suburb over my oxy-cloner. So, she spent a week fighting for survival, another 3 weeks of progressive recovery, but then, I had to let her veg for almost 4 months because she had fallen out of my schedule/rotation. That explains the 7 gal pot. She just kept on growing, so I kept giving her upgrades!!! She's a tough plant when it comes to temps, nutes and she even revived after a few seriously missed/late waterings. But the spider mites flock to her before any other.
Flipped to 12/12 schedule 20 days ago. A little crowded for the next 2 weeks with 10 plants under 2 x 400w HPS. in a 4' x 7' grow space. She's just starting to pop some pistils. And, the weird looking. twisty leaves are from an AC/Temp/Circulation problem that I'm' going to fix tomorrow. It's not that interesting.
She's the largest P-Ex I've grown so far. Fingers crossed!!!! Oh, and here are some pics of previous harvests. Good Luck to everyone with their Pineapples!!!!!
Best,
Zo
