Need suggestions

Hi,
I have a room of 17,5 square meters. It is 80% covered with pot now – 31 tree exactly. I am using 8x400w HPS laps for these plants. At the moment they are 8 weeks old and the first week on the 12/12 laps, which means I am trying to get them flowering now.
What I have is:
- around 10 square meters of grow space
- 8x400w HPS laps
- Around 27 degree Celsius temperature
- Around 60% humidity.
- Fertilizers for grow and flowering.

I believe flowering time is 8-9 weeks right? If so, what would you suggest to improve / change on the room? At the moment is it on the first week of 12/12 – when should I see the first buds coming and how to know if all of them are female?
Thanks in advance J

P.S. attaching some photos to get the better view

More light and better reflective surface. Lights should be 18 inch off plants. And when buds show RH should be lower. But other then that looks nice

What about the flowering, when should i see the first buds and how should it look like? Also, may seem stupid, but what is RH?

Thank you for the replys, also, why the laps have to be so high? Is it better this way? As for now it is a bit lower I guess.

Your useing HPS it gets realy hot. By having it at 18 inch off the tops should keep the plants from cooking. A easy way to tell is hold your had palm on you top cola and back hand to the light. If you can't keep it the comfortably it's to close.

You are getting some good advice. With the long veg you had, they should show sex pretty quick. Looks like they have a lot of sativa in them, so your flowering time may be a bit longer, like 10 weeks or so.

I am not sure if I can get any more light, maybe that will be enough?
Also, what does it mean sativa? Sorry if that sounds stupid but just need to make sure.

I am happy to ask questions that makes other people happy :D Once again, thank you for your help and could you tell me one more thing. If lights are 12/12 and I will light the room earlier several times (just because I need to access there) can it do any harm to the plants? As my lights are starting at 11am and ends ar 11pm, but I need to enter the room at 9am and i will light some of the laps earlier. So.. can I do any harm or that is no big deal?

Yeah that can cause some problems. Light shocking back and fourth during dark time will confuse them and could cause hermies. I would suggest an earlier wake up time, like the time you need to turn the light on.

What if I use simple 40w laps on the top of the room to light it up for a few hours. I only done this once. This will be the second time for a few hours as I really need to enter the room and have no chance to stay in dark. Also, I will only put 4x40w lamps for this on the top of the room, so the light will not be so intense and after these 2 hours, main lamps will start up, so it will only be a longer day like 2+12h. Again, this will happen second time only and will probably not happen again. What is the wost that can happen?
