Many, many people are not giving up on God including me. One of the quickest ways to have doubts is to take your eyes off of God and put faith in any human as all are less than perfect and will let you down at one time or the other. No reflection on the pope as I am not judging him one way or the other. Respect your right to believe as you do but felt I needed to say many have not give up on God.

The pope is not a god. He's a dude who cons people into giving him money so he can live in a $35 billion dollar mansion. That's what people should give up on.

If this god religions describe is even remotely accurate, he'd hate pretty much all organized religions.
