I think that epsom salt will give magnesiumand sulfer but not calcium

You can use Gypsum for calcium (think ground sheetrock). Dolomitic lime has both calcium and Mag.
Eggshells are a good source of calcium but it takes a long long time to becoma available.

Well I'm actually just about to head over to the hydro store to pick up some Cal/Mag. I had some magnesium deficiency so I treated with epsom. Didn't really see Calcium deficiency though so i figured it would actually be better to use Epsom than calmag. But now I'm starting to see cal def too so unless there is a calcium specific product sounds like I need some calmag.

kinda surprizing since im using tap water with ppm 150 and H&G nutes that have calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate already in the mix. Hopefully I'm diagnosing the plants correctly.

It could be a simple pH lockout, I've been fighting the same issue myself all week. I get nothing but trouble with my tap water and I've pretty similar ppm's. My understanding is that the calcium carbonate in the tap water reacts with your nutrients and converts portions into forms the plant can't use or has some trouble using.

good point, lockout can cause other probs, like trying to fix it by over ferting and adding things that are never gonna work....lockouts suck!

I don't know much about lockout, but my pH going into the coco is 5.8 and my pH coming out in the runnoff is 5.7 -5.8 so really not bad at all. Could I still be getting lockout? RO filter just isnt in the budget right now
