Electrical wiring and equipment is not my expertise but here is what I have learned: old computer power sources work well, RC car chargers, portable speaker chargers... anything that can be charged, or has a battery, uses a DC power source. Just make sure the voltages match and you'll be all set.So hit another snag. I know you are using a 12v fridge adapter, but I can't seem to find anything with a 12v output. All the cellphone chargers I can find are like 5v. Any other ideas for wiring or anyother sources of that 12v output?
At Best Buy, in the guitar-effects section, they had a "Universal DC Adapter" with switchable voltages. Looks like this.
