7+ weeks in Kings Kush

Little over 7 weeks in first grow, not to many amber yet about 5%. what you guys think. King kush is 8-9 weeks flower time.

anyone think i should test smoke in a couple days?

when you say 5%amber u talk about trichs or hairs? Do you have a microscope? If you want to be certain not to harvest too early you need one, don't harvest if you still see clear trichs. hope this helps good luck

oh and by the time your sample is ready to smoke, your plant might be ready to harvest... I wouldnt recommend quick dry for test smoke coze it only ruins your sample... its a very nice plant but its not like you have tons of weed (unless you got other plants!!?), be patient!! very nice plant, congrats on your first grow...

she looks really healthy!!! Great first grow. If you wanna test smoke go for it, personally I prefer to wait until its all done and properly cured. Its hard to be patient though

5% on trics and i use microscope. yeah its my only one but i have another thats 1 month old. If feels great im happy it turned out so good in the home strech. what u guys think wait until 50%?

I always wait till 50 but thats just me. Just by the looks of your hairs, seems like they still want to get a lot fatter.

It looks like alot of the hairs have receded back into the bud, and if the trics are starting to turn amber that means the thc is degrading... Which is why I said once all the other trics are cloudy it is ready. Waiting until it "looks" ready is pointless if the majority of your thc is degraded.

And i wont have been able to do it without everyone on this forum

Also why would it be a bad idea to cut a small piece and smoke it without drying? does it just taste bad?

OH and when i says 7-8 weeks i mean not when i turned the light on 12-12 but a couple days after that when i saw lady parts

It won't taste or give you the same effect as properly dried and cured bud, but it will stil get you high!

In a perfect world that is exactly when you should cut, 100% cloudy. I usually have a few amber trics kicking around by the time all the other trics are cloudy, no biggy though.

Today's check under the scope revealed that as far as i can tell from checking nugs on the plant and cutting a small leaf from a nug. that its around 80% smoky and i dont see much if any amber.

I would say your ready. I take my kush to 5-10% amber and all cloudy. Maybe even a few clear. if all trics are amber alot of the erlyer changed trics are degrated past the point you want. By the time I'm dryer I get a 50/50 mix of trics. That's just my 2 penneys.
