Ok, well, I'm not arguing that. BUT...a set up using 400 watts of CFLs is just that, 400 watts and nothing else. I have never used HPS, so maybe you can help. You have a 400W bulb, but then doesn't the ballast thing consume energy? Plus ventilation...plus temperature control...plus CO2 injection? What I'm saying, and again, correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't a 400W CFL system cost less than a 400W HPS because of all the other components you need for an HPS?
