Ha Ha. catt...My wife would wonder why I was starting a "girl growers thread" I only know your a woman cause you said so at one point Bro. It does make me wonder how many female growers are here. Whats the problem? woman can carry a bag of dirt and I know more than a few willing to burn one down!!

Your plants look great. If anything they do look like they could have used some more light but wtf. I bet it's gonna be some fine tasting weed. I know it's bag seed you got growing but I figure most of my weed comes in a bag. Your weed will be sweeter than the bag the seed came out of. The ONLY reason I bought femmed seeds is I did not want to end up with all males. Thats the way my luck generally runs. Did you do any pinching, pruning or tying? I would think that if you had pruned/pinched whatever your lights would be being put to better use. I have 18 bulbs and only one of the is a 100 watt actual @ 2700k. It cost $15.00 and I probably could have done ok without it and just used more of the 25 actual watt bulbs.

What are you feeding them catt? If they are not getting a bloom fert then you might want to think about it. That will fatten them up nicely and I don't recollect you saying you did.

I hope you don't mind if I share a few baby pictures of my own catt. That is a great way to use your jewelers loop so I copied you. thanks. These guys are 25 days into flowering and they vegged for almost eight weeks which in hindsight was a bit to long.


Tell me it ain't fun though!! I lsted the hel out of three and pinched one. I can't seem to size the pics right.







Pulled this little male out of the box today. Will gather a few grains of pollen and pollinate a little bud somewhere. It was just a good bag seed.

I did top and fimm them twice, MAYBE 3! When I was learning here on RIU, I stuck to the old rule of thumb "10-12 weeks veg". I asked some of the peeps on here if it was ok to flower at 8-9 weeks cuz I knew they could triple in size. Turns out I should of only vegged this strain for about 4-6 weeks (if that) as they turned out to be a sativa dom indica hybrid of some sort. I had no idea about lst or any of that stuff until I saw MidAmber and your threads. I'm gonna try that out my next grow :) Right now I'm only feeding them some Bloom feed (1/4 dose cuz I'm a worry wart :o) mixed with Grandmas Molasses (first time tonight feeding molasses) in 1 gal mtn spring water (when the spring is not FROZEN, or RO water . Then next watering I give just plain water mixed with 1/4 dose of cal/mag. I figure I would up the nutrients slowly as they mature instead of just blasting them with it (cuz I'm scared of nute burn).

Wasn't the magnifier thing a cool thought ? I think I saw it on here and I tried it and was like "holy crap, it worked"! Thanks for sayin those nice things about my ladies :) Makes me feel good about all of the love I've put into them. The one plant I have that looks like yours (a wee bit smaller and with less heads) only vegged for about 6 weeks and she's my thickest one so far (wonder if shes a skunk too)! Your plant looks sooooo awesome - I'm jealous. I don't really have much cash right now, so I can't afford all that fancy nutrient stuff yet (like unicorns piss...lol). I'm growing for my dad who has cancer
and a little for me too.....shhhhhh :o) and he said anything I grow for him is going to be the best tasting weed EVER. I only hope it helps with the pain or it really defeats the purpose. That's why I was kinda happy when folks said it looked like a hybrid sativa/indica.
I planted 3 bagseeds expecting one or 2 good females, and when all 3 tuned out to be ladies I was like "OH NO!" but happy all at the same time. I just sooo wished I flowered sooner ~ they are getting sooooo BIG!
I even like the pic of the male, with it's pretty little flower sacs :) Good luck with the pollen thing!

Yeh Yeh catt. Thanks for bolstering my manhood. RIU is a great place to get good info but also a good place to get bad info. You have to sort thru it a bit for the good stuff. Did you get good results with your pinching? As far as veg time I figured that if 5 weeks was good, seven weeks would be even better. I think the only real problem with that is that if you are using cfl's the bigger your plants get the more bulbs/light you need. That's why I'm pretty pleased with how heavily I lsted them. No light will ever reach the middle they are so dense but I have a nice even canopy which it is easier to distribute light over. I'm only in 2.5 gallon pots and KNOW i should have gone 12/12 sooner. How many gallon you working with?

What are you using for fert? Unicorn wizz is out of my budget but you can find it. Are you using MG or Peter's or some fancy FF kinda stuff. I went easy on the fert at first but I am now at full strength every watering rather than fertilizing every other watering. I really missed the part on the bottle that said EVERY OTHER watering. OOP, No harm done apparently. Not so much worried about the potassium and phosphorus but go heavy on the nitrogen and you can be in big trouble. You "might" want to increase your fert strength a little. Don't over do it but you should be able to work them up to full power with no issues. Be careful if you are using MG or something not water soluble. It's like a bullet.. You can't take it back once it's fired.:sad:

You don't need fancy stuff even though I ended up buying it and I swore I would not. I'm using my own compost/soil which is better than anything Fox Farms could hope to make and for the most part during vegging I just used my own high power sweet teas. A thin soup of composted seaweed, cow dung, turkey turds, Lobster bodies, fish skins. Hell I think I might thrown in a road killed raccoon I picked up.:shock:

I'm still liking your jewelers loop trick and I said holy crap as well. When my Dad had the big CA I got him to smoke a bone. I don't think he benefited except from the laughter. We laughed harder together than we had in 25 or 30 years if ever. He was never a smoker of anything so laugh we did. :D

Don't forget you can't post too many pictures. Your girls do look very sativa like. I think the male in my garden is getting a bad deal. All the focus is on the babes and the best he can hope for is to help with the production of a seed or two. That's at least better than the axe! Rock on Dudette and keep it growing. Get some more input but it's possible that you could have a significant yield increase if you upped your fert. Just make sure you get more input!! Just go easy on the nitrogen.

WAMMM BAM BOOM!!!! It seems like in just a few nights my babies have exploded with growth so I wanted to post some more pics :) I took the aquarium light out, it was starting to cause a wee bit of a problem with heat and It also wasn't really doing too much else. I gave them their first feeding of molasses (Grandmas Unsulf "Robust") and let me tell you, THEY LOVE IT! The very next day after mixing a tsp in with their nutes (FULL STRENGTH by the way :o) all of the bud sites seemed to have swelled to double their size. When my babies were veggin I used Blood Meal for nitrogen. I think it's finally all gone from the dirt cuz I don't hear the dirt fizzing anymore when I water, YAY!
I've also learned recently that you don't count the day you switch your lights to 12/12 as day 1 flower. So if I start at when I saw pistils that would leave me at 3 weeks flower (Sunday will start week 4) so I'm just going to go by that from this point forward :)


Hey Rottedroots, I'm actually using 3 gal pots with 4 drainage holes. I'm thinking now that I should of used 5 gal ones cuz 2 of them have grown sooo massive! I've been using the MG Bloom Booster full strength now, but still only at every other watering. I mix in a little cal/mag with the MG in a gal of RO water from Walmart and feed that every other water. Then I mix 1tsp of molasses in 1 gal of RO water the next time. This is my plan from now on and we'll see how it works out :) Everything looks nice and green so I'm thinking that cal/mag stuff is working (it's the kind for people) :o Your dirt sounds GREAT! I do have a compost bin in my yard and I'm going to be using it more when the weather gets warmer, can you message me a good mix up of stuff to make my own? That is GREAT to hear you were able to share a laugh and a bone with your Dad :) I love when my dad and I get the giggles! Marijuana helps him see the world in a "more respectable, natural way than it really is", he says. So if it makes him feel better about everything

I have such an UNEVEN canopy!!! But I adjust my CFL's daily to make up for it. I do not have all of my CFL's at the top. :leaf:

LAMO! I certainly hope not, anything BUT a mid life crisis....did you see my plants? I've been skipping around all day just waiting until 5:00pm for my lights to come on :) I like change I guess :o

ha, my lights come on at 5pm. didnt work today and it kills me waiting for lights on! 3 more hours to go, oh the agony!
