AK-48 Smoke & Grow Report

Hi all!

Just thought I'd drop a thorough smoke report from this strain for you guys!

Strain: AK-48 (1 feminized seed)
Breeder: Nirvana
Grower: Matchbox
Grow Info:
Grew in a 10 litre hempy bucket with a valve for drainage and flooding the roots, I used a ScrOG in a 1ft deep x 3ft long x 3ft high cab using 2x 125w CFL's and 90w of LED goodness. Really easy strain to grow, it is very much a fast heavy yielder finished in about 5 or 6 weeks with 4 weeks veg, responds well to stress training and light training alike, is a total whore for nutes, I was doing triple strength without a single problem (wouldn't recommend anyone else try triple strength though : )

Cure at time of smoke test:
20+ Days (don't remember when I chopped)

Bag Appeal: B+
Not the best smell at all, quite kinda regular skunky type with a touch of fruit, Trichs aren't 100% visible and in your face.
Smell:
Skunky, basic, only really comes to life with a nice piney fruit like smell when you grind it up.
Taste:
Not as bad as I thought, its got a sweet incense like taste in the back of your throat on the exhale (I bong it XD) and nice and smooth.

Effect:
It's a creeper, you can start with it and get on with stuff feel a bit stoned but 20 mins or so and it hits, rather heavy couch lock relaxing stone, I can happily smoke a bowl, watch a film and go to bed great evening smoke.

Possible Medical Uses
Insomnia (mid to high dose)
back/neck pain (light to medium doses)
appetite (any dose, but I do get the munchies hard on most weed)
relaxation from stress (any dose)

Final Thoughts:
Brilliant strain if your looking to get stoned fast, VERY fast finisher heavy yield (I got about 2-2.5oz off 1 plant under CFL's) easy to look after takes stress and nutes well, and I quite like the stone and taste

M-edibles:
Took all the trim and made a good amount of butter, made 4 large cakes each got me more stoned than the last, now I have an amazing 2 slices of chocolate cake left and the stone from them is amazing, sooo mellow and to some extent a bit trippy if your watching a film (Don't watch fantastic mr fox on it lol I was trippin balls very weird film)

I'd like more details.... but here's a comparison for you....

60 days, sativa dom, very stinky like running over a skunk, with lemon juice sprinkled on top.... Extremely dense, leggy, but heavy....

and cured de la creme...

looks a lil premature to me she cud've easily gone another 3-4 weeks theres still tons of white hairs on that girl but good report man

What strain, AK-48? mine was a proper indica dom, what other info would you like?

I chopped it when I like the stone going by the trichs they were mostly milky with roughly 25-30% amber, but other than how I like it yes they could have gone an extra few weeks btw the pics of them filling up the screen were about 3 weeks before chop, I just didn't have any more recent pics except for the harvest, I let the back colas go an extra week or 2, I don't 100% remember.

i recently planted 3 ak48 seeds. 2 males, but one very healthy female. i use 4 gallon pots , 2 600 watt hps in a 5'x7' flowering room with organic nutes. there is a lot of bud but the plant is monsterous. i put it on 12/12 at 20 inches. i had to bend it over at 6 1/2 feet since it was getting too close to the lights. it has now been flowering for 74 days. even under 2 600s the buds are not fully filled out. i estimate that it will take another 3 weeks. i wish i had it in a bigger pot. i have 7 more seeds and will probably start flowering earlier. if buds fill out the way i hope, there will be about 3 oz on the plant. it does have a good amount of trichs. in 3-4 weeks i'll let u know if the wait was worth it. if this plant were outdoors, i think it could easily get to 12 feet tall.
