So say some racist shit, then I call you racist, then you say that I only called you racist because I was losing the debate. Better yet, why don't I just lead off with some racist counter argument. Then again, I'm a heterosexual white male with an upper middle tax bracket. All I care about is personal liberty.
This thread is not going to help get rid of the rampant problem we have with intolerant heterosexual white males who believe that they are divinely gifted with the sense to decide for everyone. Too bad democracy wasn't designed to accommodate them alone. Oh wait it was, things started changing when they had to let women and blacks vote, now they whine cause they can't get their way anymore.
All those tax cuts for the rich that the GOP gives you...of course people are going to vote for you if you give them shit, no wonder so many white males vote GOP.
The problem isn't that Obama caters to black people, the problem is that so many of you want to recognize socio-economic strata by skin color. He caters to poor people.
Why should it be OK for someone to say welfare only helps black people and not for me to say that tax cuts for the super-wealthy only affect white people. It is the same fallacy being committed.

Well the word "Racist" is used so loosely now, why wouldn't you pander to 80% of all the people in the USA. According to many people on this site, even mentioning skin color means you are a racist, in fact the qualifier for racist is just being white pretty much. So why wouldn't you want to pander to the majority? Some would say you are a racist even if you aren't but a racist likes your ideas and gives you money.

I can actually overstand where you're coming from. It is a fallacy to look at the socioeconomic strata and define them by race. That makes one "racist". Racist and prejudiced are not the same, nor are racism and discrimination. It is not illegal to be racist, so if you say some racist shit, and someone says "hey, that is fucking racist" either say, "I'm sorry, that is how I interpret what I see" or say "fuck you [racial slur]". Don't say some racist shit, then claim it isn't racist.
There was a thread I saw where someone was trying to convince someone else that black people are the only ones on welfare and that is why so many of them are liberals. That would be a racist fucking thing to say. So when one dismisses the entire line of reasoning as false on the grounds that it is racist, they go on associating being called racist with winning a debate and begin to like being called racist by a liberal, as that is what tells them that they have conviction and the balls to back an unpopular "truth". Actually it isn't a truth at all. The problem is when the same person keeps focusing on the racial stuff that he cares about and the liberal says, "dude I don't care and furthermore, I'm done debating with a racist".
So maybe if you don't like being called a racist, quit trying to convince black people that they are the reason for everything wrong in the world...just sayn. I don't think that is you, but the race debate is old, get over it, focus on shit that matters. Just like RP said IT IS ANCIENT HISTORY. Maybe it still isn't perfect, but it is getting better and it doesn't happen overnight, let the race issue die please...GET OVER IT.
I rarely see black people ever bring it up, only white republicans, but if a racist black person was on it, I would call them a racist too.

not really. there would still be a number of organizations like the FBI and others that would still prosecute for cannabis, it would not remove state laws, it would not reschedule cannabis...so yeah. that is just an uninformed thing to say, not to mention a great way of assuring no second term.
but i'm sure if obama did do that, there would be a vocal contingent here blasting him for abusing executive powers and acting like a tyrant. such is the no-win situation obama is faced with by those suffering manic ODS.

not me. i want the government up my ass regulating and taxing me just like they would any other enterprise. there will be many pleasant sides to re-legalization, dealing with the reality of taxation and regulation will not be among them for many people.

it is just an inevitable side effect of re-legalization of cannabis that we will be taxed and regulated. the fact that they'll have a finger in my pie will mean that it we are no longer criminalized for sticking a seed in dirt and pouring water on it.
