It will never be cheaper than it is right now. At least not with out a major recession or worse.

What would you do if you went to the store and there was no food on the shelves?

Well I would grow it. The only thing I need from the grocery store would be diapers, cooking oil, annnnd that's about it. I buy my food from a fruit and vegetable market and my meat comes from the butcher. City life has made people lazy and unreliable and of course, easy to kill by the government. Leave the rat race and start a farm, I say. All this growing of marijuana as if it were the hardest plant on the planet to grow, while we could grow a little food too. I have a motorcycle, a car, and a bicycle. I can even brew my own biofuel if I wanted. Stop being lazy consumers and things will be better for us.

Buy more bullets instead.
What is this? 300? You think a few armed militia men can stave off the throbbing gargantuan drug and oil war? I would just dig a sinkhole and go live in it until the world has been purged of useless capitalist war movements.

Digging a hole or doing all that work you do is waaaay to much.

No thanks. I've got better ideas.

I'm a white 23 year old American male, I'm entitled to what you have. If not I'll just buy more bullets for my .45, get some friends to cut out of the deal after they help me with you (it IS the apocalypse) and take all that you've worked for. It's the American way.

good luck with that, buy all the bullets you need, i only need 1 :)

i do agree that people should start becoming more self sustaining, in the near future i do want my own small time farm where i can grow my crops in the summer and have enough to supply me all winter.

as far a Marijuanna being the hardest crop to grow, these people obviously have never tried gardening, it is much harder than MJ. i still have yet to be able to concor the bell pepper plant lol, attempt #3 coming up and i think i may have it this time :) :)

I was a big advocate in silver, but what happens when the market collapses and its worthless. I recently "invested" less than a hundred dollars in a horde of organic seeds. Seems more logical than buying metal.

so one day there's no food on the shelf and you are going to grow crops and harvest them in a single day so you don't starve?

maybe you have a few crops going already, but food takes time to grow. not everyone gets a plot to grow this food on. if there were a doomsday scenario people are going to come for your shit. it's not the american way. it's the "shit, i'm gonna die if i don't take that stuff" way. one person's preparation means nothing when there are thousands willing to die to get it.

if there were a real doomsday thing, wouldn't there be all sorts of bombs and chemical whatnot that would make the rain not such a great source of water? chemical and nuclear facilities that got raided by the people and destroyed would be leaking plumes of gag everywhere.

also, to everyone who thinks that a stockpile of weapons and ammo will save them, how long do you think it would take a mob of 500 armed with molotov cocktails, rocks, and big hairy cajones to penetrate your fortress?

the problem is, anyone smart enough to make base camp is not just going to let a pirate like you take over the place. There will be homemade napalm, flamethrowers, boobytraps, pipebombs and hungry dogs waiting to take a bite out of you. You should be more friendly and maybe we invite you in and smoke you out the peaceful way, with good old sinsemilla.

lol was, dude when the market crashes what do you think people will be trading for everything? thats why gold and silver are at high value. metals will never become worthless they have been used over and over again as means of trade and money for a long as time. you really need to watch some history. all places were ransacked by the vikings goths franks ect for their.. what? gold silver stones: rubies, saphirres, emeralds ect. even the pirates knew this shit was of value some how. if its worthless then why are their sunken treasure ships worth a ton? o and they all have not been found so good luck to all on the hunt.

and i also was a silver and coin collector and it made me money. 144 to be almost exact with the foriegn trade it was 9 more i think.so153 hmm seems the silver and coins were worth something
