if there gonna smuggle drugs there not gonna walk through the check point. they have dogs and all that shit at most of them. they have more efficient ways of getting it across they have a pick up truck with a thing in the bed that folds out and makes a metal bridge that goes over the fron of the truck and over the fence it backs up to and then they send a stolen cith a shit ton of drugs over and into our country. catipules. and the things said before subs and one man plane/gliders.

For real...they don't want to...the drug trade is known...that is why MJ has caused such an issue...it is hard to stop something that anyone can grow...also hard to track it...I would say you could grow a coca plant, but only if you had a seed...and I think those are pretty hard to come by and I doubt you can truly purchase them online...The cartels aren't going to let the seeds out and about for anyone to have...it would ruin their trade...much like what we do hurts the shady business associated with our lovely plant...

Coca needs specific environmental conditions not readily available in most of the U.S. I know people who have grown coca indoors just for the fun of it - they had humidity problems on the one hand and mold on the other - the percentage of cocaine in the leaves varies but it is never very much, I don't know if you need a ton of leaves to make a lb of blow but consider that if the leaf is one percent cocaine (kinda high if I remember) it would take 100 lbs, one tenth of a percent would take 1000 lbs. Chewing the stuff is pretty fun and long long ago we used to buy "decocanated" coca leaves in health food stores before they finaly figured out that nothing was ever done to the leaves at all. A box cost about 5 bucks and made enough wonderful tea for two of us to last most of the day. As has been said, the flow of cocaine will not much be affected by searching individuals - the bulk of it comes over or under the border in huge quantities. This means that even if the cartels forfeit a load, more is being shipped in parallel. You can afford to lose three or four times as much as makes it through and still make a hell of a lot of money.

I'm not sure which one I would want to do less. Grow coca for making cocaine or poppies for making a serious amount of opium. Note that both are done in places where there is extreme poverty. I adore opioids and I would never try to grow my own supply. It's too much fucking work. If I value my time at the low low price of $10/hr I would do better buying absurdly overpriced pills. Coca is more particular about growing conditions than poppies are (pretty much every plant is) so I would imagine that the same holds true about growing it for personal use.
As far as stopping drug shipments before they get here, good luck. The only way to do it would be to get rid of the demand for the drugs. As long as the demand exists the supply will find it.

Have you ever considered the fact that the GOV doesn't want to eliminate the flow of 'coke and opiates' crossing the border? Just my opinion since they are the ones outfitting the cartels with their weapons. If they were to entirely curb the flow, who will fill the void with all the millions of addicts?
