Cheap Quality Grow Setup ???

Hey RIU fam... Just lookin to get started here, I am piecing together my first Grow setup. Currently I have 2 dual 4' T8's for veg as well as a 1000W XXXL 8" Magnum hood for flowering. I am thinking about purchasing a quality low to mid priced tent for my flower to have more control for the smell/temp. I am considering a GrowLab 145 (
Dimensions: 4'9" x 4'9" x 6'7"). Would this be large enough for the 1000w xxxxl? Also, if so, what size fan/filter would you suggest and how many plants would y'all recommend? Thanks and One Love

That should be good in that size tent. I would do an 8' fan & filter, because that is what size your hood is. You can hook fan & filter up to your hood and exhaust the hot air from your light. 6" would work too if you just want to exhaust your filter straight out of the tent, and then have another fan exhausting your hot air from lights. Do you have intake set-up?

I would prefer to do a 6", but I am looking for the most cost efficient way.. If I need 2 fans for a 6"(1-filter,1-heat) vs 1 fan for a 8" (heat/filter combo) Then I would assume the 8" way would be cheaper??

But no Currently I have no intake either, All I have now is the T8's and the 1000W. How many CFMs would you suggest for the intake/exhaust? And do you have a cheap quality brand you could recommend?

Also- Since I am an AZ prop 203 patient forced to grow my own meds bc the state hasn't approved dispensaries... does anyone know if this could be used as a tax write off :D :D ??

I use 8' hoods too. Here is a pic of my set-up. I only use 1 fan for exhaust, an 8' Hydrofarm inline with 750 cfm. It sucks air through my filter and then through my lights and out my tent. I am running 2 600's and I only need the fan at 3/4 speed to keep temps in the 70's, then when lights are out, I run at 1/2 speed. Intake for me is a 6' 400 cfm fan vetned to a window to pull in fresh air.
I wouldnt use any mm gear for tax writoff because you are dealing with federal, and you know their stance on this issue currently.

Ok Cool, Nice setup, thanks for the pic! Do you have a pic of how you rigged the intake fan to the window?

I don't, but I just mounted it right underneath the window, so you cant see it from outside. I just put a couple big tacks in the end of the ducting right under the window to hold it.
