Alright, before I start super thanks to Warlock1369 for the awesome recipe for the butter.
As of right now, this is my favorite thing to do with trim, from beginning to end. Make note, it is very important to never go over 200 degrees F. in any part of this recipe, after looking into this extensively, and talking to several people who have tried this and failed to make product that produced a high, the reoccurring problem is heat. When baking the cookies, or heating your water, you should never go over 200 degrees Fahrenheit, after that I believe the THC begins to degrade.
For the CannaButter.
1 oz Trim
2 sticks of butter
water
(1)Fill up a crock pot or a double boiler with the trim, you can also include stems, every bit of THC helps, just don't count them as part of the required ounce. Fill water an inch or so above the marijuana matter, add 2 sticks of water, and set on low (200 degrees). It is important to have good temperature control, even a cheap crock pot set on low will often reach 300 degrees, if this is the case, and your only option, closely monitor the temperature and shut it off if need be to maintain he optimal temp. You want to stir this a few times every few hours and cook for a minimum of 12 hours, but 24-36.
(2)When you are finished, strain through cheese cloth into a large bowl. Discard all solids that where strained, and place bowl in fridge for no less than 12 hours.
(3)When you remove the bowl there should be a solid layer on top. Carefully remove the solid layer. This is your cannabutter.
(4)(optional) If the butter has a large amount of debris and plant matter on the bottom, you may wish to re-melt, re-strain, and re-cool your butter.
This will result in roughly 1 cup of butter.
For Potlic-chip cookies
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup cannabutter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup B.sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
(1) Cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a bowl. It is often easier if you let the butter sit our prior so it is softer.
(2) Add slat, baking soda, vanilla extract, eggs, and mix.
(3) Add flour slowly as you stir until you have mixed it all in thoroughly.
(4) Add chocolate chips and mix well.
(5) Using a large spoon take roughly 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter and place them in a pile on a cookie sheet. Bake at 200 for 25 minutes.
Makes roughly 24 cookies. 2 will be more than enough to knock you on your ass. Allow 1-2 hours for effect to set in and don't plan much for the next several hours.
