What are your thoughts on smart pots?

I am looking to grow a number of plants outdoor this season and some are going in the ground but some are not. I have grown well in plastic containers but after a bit of research smart pots seem like a good alternative since they remain significantly cooler than plastic and allow for increased aeration of the rhizosphere. So for those of you who use or have used smart pots what is your opinion? Would you advise the switch from plastic containers to smart pots? Any feedback is appreciated.

I've never used them simply because they are hard to move and don't have handles. But I know people who are quite happy with them

I love smart pots. They will keep your plants happy because your roots can actually BREATHE.
Its really not that hard to move them if you put a trey under them and make sure they have stakes to hold those heavy branches. Ive noticed my plants stay greener through out flowering. But watch out they do get thirsty a bit faster also you want to water till you get a decent run off they will suck it back up in no time

They need frequent watering....that is unfortunate but it does of course make sense with increased air flow there will be increased evaporation. I like the idea of a healthier root ball I think I will pick a few up.

Naw, it's really not unfortunate. Your plants will grow faster and it is a worthwhile trade off. In addition to the extra air flow to the roots encouraging faster growth; cannabis thrives in soil that alternates between wet and dry. The more often you can water, the more often you can potentially feed.

i wish i had a pic to back my words up on this...
i grew 3 ak47's in 5gal buckets and 3 in 7 gallon smart pots. the difference was noticable. 3 plants in buckets were 12-18 inches shorter and not as bushy as the ones in smart pots. yeild was 416 dry grams for the 5gal buckets.. yeild for smartpots was 643 grams dry. thats a huge difference if u ask me concidering the plants were done the same in every aspect...light, nutes, ect ect. ill never nse a 5gal bucket again...jst sayin
