First Outdoor Grow

I'm doing my first outdoor guerilla grow this month using autoflowering seeds (2x Sweet Dwarf, 1x CH9).

I am going to germinate the seeds for 1-2 days, then plant them in organic soil outdoors.

Do I need to put the seeds in pots, such as peat moss pots? Can I just put the 3 seeds in the soil, keep moist every few days? I hope I am not missing anything. Also if anyone knows the best soil at Home Depot it would be appreciated.

First things first. You need to figure when it's not going to get below 50 at night where you live. The plant will die below 50.

I live in the Northeast United States, the temperature is around 40 for a few night hours, I don't think that's such a huge problem considering cannabis is such a resilient plant.

Well it's up to you, but if you put them out and it dips into the 40's you will not have anything.
Yes they are a weed and can fight off just about anything except cold. These are the facts man. But if you want to go for it, do it and I wish you the best.

I would a wait a bit longer, The way you want to set iy up is fine, on to the soil get a organic mix from home depo and you should be set. :) but the weaher deff wait until the nights hit around 60+ and you should be good to go, Good luck!

60+??? no way his plants will never be transplanted outdoors.. my rule of thumb is if nights have low of 45 or higher then your safe to move outside!

TEMPERATURE - Cannabis Growing Guide
Low temperatures at night are OK down to about 60 degrees outdoors, then start to effect the growth in a big way. Mid 50s will cause mild shock and 40s will kill your plants with repeated exposure. Keep your plants warm, especially the roots. Elevate pots if you think the ground is sucking the heat out of the roots. This is an issue if you have a slab or other type of cold floor.

OK I copied this from Cannabis growing Guide

People have different opinions and we are all right in fact because as long as we plant after the last frost the plant should be fine! I guess its all personal preference and of course strain as well.

As temperature goes up, so does the ability of the air to hold water, thus reducing humidity, so a higher average temperature should reduce risk of fungus. How to grow weed outdoors is fun.

Here's another from another book I have.

All I got on my side is I been growing since the 60's so what do I know?
True different strains do have different requirements. But cold is cold and hardiness is hardiness.

i'm on the coast of me. and i'd wait till the last full moon april 21st and you will good to go. good luck
Thanks for the info, I bought Fox Farm Soil, I'm waiting for seeds to arrive now, I will start a log when I start germination. Does anyone know if pots are a requirement? Can I just directly put germinated seeds in the ground?

I've had better success germinating and transferring to clone cups and get them goin for a couple weeks first. U could put those plants out in those 40 deg nights if u wanted jus get it acclamated to the temp. I've had a plant in the ground since the beginning of march and it's doin great. If I could figure out how to put pictures up I would show u lol. Good luck

Try growing it for sometime inside until it is strong enough to grow in a bit lower tempetures.
I will try this, but I have little option in terms of light at home, will sunlight through a window suffice after germinating? How long should I leave the seeds in the cups until they can handle 40f night weather?

not true at all I had a plant out in mid feb. yes it started to flower but it's survived 33 degree weather multiple times. Quit reading so much and grow more
