That would be pretty cool and saw that in a Hightimes magazine once,It's a great idea if you have limited access and cant check/access them everyday (wich I can) so it'd be pointless for me really.

I also gave this some thought but there would have to some sort of spillway like a dam uses. that way you could catch enough rain for a few days.but not enough to drown them out it's a fine line.

Went trim crazy tonight spent nearly 3 hours taking off branches and vegetation(leaves and what not) of branches to big to take off, now its allot sexier and should receive somewhat if not alot more light. This little chopping frenzy led me to notice that the moon is awfully bright especially on a full moon (tonight), and was wondering if that light effects the plants light cycle at all.

I have been thinking of doing this for a few years now, i really like the idea. I think i will try it this season with a few autoflowering strains. subbed

mine will go in areca palms. these trees cant be climpbed and the braches only grow upright. its going to be a challenge to fasten pots/buckets but i have some ideas. i will start another thread when i get started. just got to get my beans germinated and ill get it going.

If you can get clones or even feminized seeds its a good Idea since you know you'll be growing bud's. Mine are random seeds so I'm not even sure I'll get females, but either way I just love growing the plants and this was the most secure way I've found.

Now that would be impressive, you must let me know when/if you even get them up there.

yeah i will definitely go with feminized seeds if i decide to do it.

I going to check a reference to moon cycles and cultavation in one of my grow books. I remember reading something about this. I will post my findings and which book covered it.

I'm 90% sure I've read that it does and that you shouldn't have any artificial lights shining on the plant because it makes the plant look for light when it shouldn't be. One of the houses near my baby's has a big intruder light that comes on and off as it pleases so I had to rig a big branch that would stop the light from reaching the plant's.

Im very curious to see how this turns our. I know people who have hung buckets in trees with great success... How much direct sun are they getting?

Not sure exactly how much, but I sat in that tree a good part of the day before picking the spot and it was the best (reachable) spot. Hopefully enough which it seems like so far. I also trim the branches back whenever i notice one blocking the light.

*Update*
So today when I went and checked on them they have started growing roots at the bottom of the cup some come thursday I'll be transplanting them into their new permanent 5GAL pots.

So today I noticed that my plant's are growing stipules!!! wich obviously means that they weren't getting enough light, and are flowering already, right???

I'll be watching this thread for sure... not anything I need to try but for curiosity sake I wanna see the end result! Hey... has anybody ever tried on of those "upside down" hanging tomato planters?
