My plants leaves started to curl down yesterday and they don't seem to recover! (I'll attach a pic)
I'm quite sure they are not overwatered, (the moist meter marks 4)
the ph of the soil is 7 and I lowered the ph of the water down to 7 as well.
I added a light nute only once (a week ago, 1/4 strenght)
The room temp is maybe a lil low, around 20 degrees celcius.

They have been under sunlight most of the time, except for the last 3 days, It's been cloudy.

Any suggestions? please, I'm loosing my hair here!!

Thanks.

well you went from sun to light that could do it and the nutes could do it hold off awhile on the nuts.

seems your conditions are crapy at best... if i were you i'd pick up lights.. as said... the more the better... also i would wait on nutes for a bit.. as said... also i would lower your ph alittle more then that.. apparently a good number to aim for is 6.5... i would make sure your not over/underwatering... if you have one of those crappy 2$ water meters they may not always be accurate... Good luck

When you say you are quite sure they are not overwatered, how does the soil feel when you water? how does it feel 1-2 inches down?

Avoid nutes until 2-3 weeks at the earliest, even then you can wait longer.

Light is important, but the plants can survive under minimal lights. If the lights were too weak you'd see significant stretching before the leaves wilt.

The soil PH is 7? How did you test the PH of the soil?

Thanks for the replies!

I lowered the lights, they are at a 1 inch distance now,I'll get more lights tomorrow), I also watered them. (all this was like 2 hours ago) and one of them recoverd!!!
That was fast!

Don't know about the quality of the water tester, the guy at the local botanic store recommended it.

Thanks again guys :peace:

edit-
PS- Bain, I have one of those Ph soil meters.

When I first started I got one of those soil testers where you stick the metal rods into the soil. It didn't work for shit and I think a couple other people on this forum have a similar opinion. I used it in some liquid that was very acidic and it still read 7.0, then I used an aquarium ph test kit and.... it wasn't even close to 7.0. I returned it the next day. I guess I'm just sayin to be careful not to trust it too much unless you can verify its accurate.

Yes, you are probably right...

Anyway, they are all dying now, going yellow with dead tips. :(
I'm really lost here... I added lights, I've been reading for hours, there are too many factors that could be involved. It sucks.

They were all healthy and growing nice... suddenly 2 days ago all went to hell.

Why do they have to be such star divas?!! I've been growing several other flowers and lil plants in the same conditions, and they are rock solid!!

man, I suck.

PS_bain, nice avatar. hehe.

Hmm, they definitely look like they were stretching in the first pics. How big are your pots that you have them in? They could maybe have already outgrown them. When the roots can't stretch out anymore, the plants will look like they did in your first pics. All curled down and shriveled up.

What are your ph levels at now? And you definitely don't want to be adding nutes this early in the game. Did you ph your water after you added the nutes? When you add nutes it's going to drop the ph of your water.

Yea dude, those things fucking suck. I did exactly what you did. I stuck the meter in some water that was real acidic and the fucking meter never read correctly. Only way I could ever get it to semi tell me what the ph of my soil was, was by pushing the meter in and out of the soil. When I did it like that, the meter would change for a split second. Never again will I recommend or buy one of those fucking things.

AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS...

Hey leomanya, sorry to hear about your plants. I know I'm not even close to as good as several of the peps on this forum and I've spent the last few weeks doing nothing but reading everything I can find. I also know it can be damn frustrating losing something you try your hardest to help.

I suggest giving it another try if you have the seeds, a few small corrections can go a long way. This time try a few things differently. Adjust light height, try watering more or less than previously, get a liquid ph test kit - if nothing else just ph the water you put into the plant. Maybe next time things will be better.

GrnMan you are right, I had one of those, It's in the trash can now. Piece of shit, it messed up the PH of my water. I'm using paper stripes now.

Thanks Bain, I'm doing that, I have more seeds germinating :)

Here's a pic of a survivor, I took it this morning, It's in much worse condition now :(

Thanks a lot guys for your advice :peace:
