Fuck no! As my grandparents would say, I wouldn't take Obama to a snake wrestle match, even if he promised to win.
 
A vote for Obama is like saying we want more of the same. We need to tell them they have to do better and stop waging wars endlessly and start making America a better place for our children.

What rankles me is the absence of real choice.

The way I see it, I have three options:
1) Vote for Obama, whose policies/actions I have not come to respect very much.
2) Vote for Sporting Goods, which is simply not a palatable option.
3) Vote for a third party in a gesture of futility, or simply don't vote. Imo also an unpalatable option.

So I'm left with the candidate who'll make me throw up ... only not as instantly as the other guy(s). Pfeh. cn

I cannot comment on "intentional". I will say I believe it is institutional. Pols who rise high enough to run for high office, e.g. Congress or the Presidency, have been heavily selected by their parties (typically by who gets party-controlled money for campaigns) to conform to some sort of criterion of conformity. Mavericks get selected out before they can even run for these offices, with very few exceptions. This selection doesn't seem to need concrete decisions by identifiable individuals, so assigning intention isn't trivial imo. cn
 
I think the election is just a big show to fool us all into believing we are going to get something new and grand. Were probably in store for more of the same.
 
I find it amusing that the MSM is all worked up that Mittens is demolishing Obama in the latest poll numbers. Do they not understand that he's more detested than GDub ever was? He's disheartened the libs with his lies, broken promises and continuation of Bush's policies. He's ramped up the Republicans fervor with just about everything he's done. And then, he's lost the majority of his support from the Independents over the way they have stomped on the Constitution and the heinous methods they've used to pass legislation (and implement doctrine that could NEVER pass either house). Breaking legal contracts for the first time in history, lying about what was in ObamaCare to get it passed, the list is so long it's pointless to continue.

Don't think I've forgotten about our signature bet Redivider, I will own yours for six months come November.
 
Voting doesnt matter, its not like its a fair election, the only one worth voting for is Ron Paul but he was doomed from the very start because much effort was put into stopping his success... If I were American I would still hopelessly vote for Ron Paul, I think its better than voting for a couple two faced bastards that are not too different from Bush.
