I know in the last month there have been 2 LARGE bust's within 30 minutes of my house, one was over 1000 plants! Would love to get my hands on this guys equipment hahahahaha

i heard about the auction through ccmc but all those guys were way against it.. mostly for some Karma bullshit reason.. idk.. but i guess keep an eye out for seizure auctions..

yeah i'm bummed i missed out on it too, i need an A/C and i could always use some misc gear.. just not enough scratch right now.. :/

Its 1 mile down the road form a high school, and junior high!!!!!!
It was in a barn/warehouse in a residential neighboorhood, 200 feet from a very POPULAR gas station!

Is it possible that we among ourselves here keep an eye out for these types of "Surplus Auctions"? I know that I could start reading the classifieds just a little bit harder here in Central Maine. I know that we are pretty much in the same boat, and always looking to upgrade of purchase some materials to enhance what we already have. I too need to get an A/C unit at a reasonable price for this summer, as I think we are going to have some major records come July and August.

Yeah man im not kidding!!! and it was in a small town and with literally 1 gas station and the guy was within 200 feet of this gas station, EVERYONE in town went right by this grow op and didnt even think twice about it!

Its def possible man, police auctions are a HUGE HUGE part of there yearly income! Its actually illegal for them to keep confiscated items after a certain point (obvious restrictions apply; ie firearms and drugs) so anything the cops confiscate gets sold at some point, and its generally in auctions with highest bidding rules so you can pick up some nice shit really cheap. My uncle buys exclusivly police auction vehicles and has gotten some NICE ASS cars for like 3-4 grand, mint shape!

The hard part is finding out when they do the auctions they RARELY advertise it and from my knowledge you kinda need to know a cop or someone involved in the police auction scene to know when they are going down!

I posted this info on the CCM site. I don't have the cash to go. So I posted the info. I saw a flyer on a corkboard at JDs package store in Waterboro. So no insider info here.
If I'm going to an auction. I'm not telling anyone! Why would I want more people bidding on the some items that I want.
I don't mind sharing info. But I'm not going to tell you my favorite fishing hole either.

On a different note saw something at CannaMaineia that looks like it has a lot of promise. And I don't feel like starting a new thread for it. Induction lighting. Looks like a flourescent, long oval, fat. This one was 400w and looked like it was putting out the lumens of a 1k (casual observation). At least it doesn't seem gimmicky like LED lol. If these things turn out to be as good as they look it could shake things up.

Induction lighting sounds good - lower heat output, longer lifespan, more lumens/watt than HID. But it's damn expensive - $1250 to replace my 1k HPS with a 600w induction system.

yeah thats my fear. 1 guy said a 400 is = to a K but i talked to the owner a little later and he was said 2! 400's for the square footage of a k, and more lummens because of it.. and the cost is high BUT no bulb replacement, instant start up, so no worries of hot starts, no heat to mitigate all means mucho saving's in the lng haul..

but damn! 6K change over = 7200$! god damn!

One day!! I want to try one and compare to 975 watt of t5. I tuched the bulb on that 400 watt they had , it was about the temperature Of a t5 bulb
