The black market is always there.... but when u r trying to be legit and legal, it can pose a problem for a business, when u have an over-saturation of legal growers flooding dispensaries with awesome weed... I mean, they can only buy SO much... And when u haveta drive from COmpton and San Diego to NoCal to get yer whole crop sold out, u waste up all yer profit in gas and hotels... This is JUST ONE account of the "green rush" of the west, from one group of long-time growers/activists from the other side of the country, though...
or New Mexico????
I kinda haveta disagree there man... In Santa Cruz, the local market was soooo flooded, and u couldnt move even the finest of dank... It was just too hard for us, even though we had moderate business success, and wonderful growing success, it just didn't happen there, for us... Not to say it coouldn't be possible for someone else... Somewhere else... U CAN do anything u set yer mind to, even turning conservative areas around to see truth and pass medical bills...
I agree with you. It's one of the reasons some of that good quality " cali medical bud" is being spread out as far as the east coast. Guys just FedEx to someone cash on delivery. The California market is saturated. The relationships that have formed over the last few years between providers and growers are very hard to break. It's supply and demand. Normally the price should come down but these growers have the whole nation to as a customer.
Legitimately if your one of these new growers just how would you get your product into a dispece. You would probably lower your price but why when you could just ship it out of state and make that cheese. I mean you are in business to make money right....very hard to resist.
cuz shipping weed out of a legal state is worth 7 years. even if ur shipping it to another legal state. not just fed law but even state law is against it. im good without the risk.
I know its illegal but that doesn't stop people from doing it, you know that. Lets face it, its very hard to run a legal growing operation. even if growing it is legal in your state, your still breaking federal law. There are a lot of people who started off their grow "legal" and had to sell on the "black market" to make a profit because they cant sell to a legit "dispensary"... its just the way it is.
awful idea...if you wanna grow for profit you are better off in a non med state..even in a med state ou could easily be targeted for growing by the feds...they look for growers making a profit ...cali is flooded with green...top shelf green is a dime a dozen for 2 k a pound wholesale price..now you have 60 lbs and need to drive loads back to where you are now for a decent profit(the riskiest part of it all) ...stay where you are at and grow there...the cost of living in cali is high also..good luck
And the feds can and will do as they please!
tell that to my buddies dispensory that shuts down one week a month to go to the courthouse to renew the restraining order against the d.e.a. has been doing this for the past 4 months and is still in business. if u have the money u can do almost anything if ur smart and know how to bend the laws or u have a lawyer that knows how to bend them for u. remember even the feds are bound by fed law.
you better have a lotta bread because the feds have an unlimited supply of money and resources...even if ya avoid the can...the lawyers will clean you out... your boy may have stayed in biz and thats cool...i hope he stays busy and free ...but for everyone of him there are ten other dispens owners that fold under the weight of the feds and lawyers fees
