If you're like me (tight budget, zero mechanical ability/inclination), how? Let's not turn this into a hobby, or a contortion of logic that, if taken far enough, would yield "you can build your own car from the ground up". I can't even locate a nearby, reliable, affordable mechanic! cn

it's a little 4 cylinder that gets about 35 mpg. i'd say that pretty good.

you can even take up the upholstery, install some coils, wire them to the car's electric system, reattach the upholstery and make heated seats if you'd like.

getting the sat radio is tough, you have to take off all the little panels from basically the center console and forward to get at the radio, but it's easier than most new cars and can be done in about 3-4 hours reassembled.
