We won't have to pay for it, It will be a "free" upgrade.UB, I like new cars. I don't like old rattle traps. And I don't think they should hang things on a car that the owners don't want and don't want to pay for.

if you're on a tight budget and don't like paying a mechanic, avoid these new cars. i can't even imagine how you would change the battery on a prius, but it seems like you would have to take half the damn thing apart to get at it.If you're like me (tight budget, zero mechanical ability/inclination), how? Let's not turn this into a hobby, or a contortion of logic that, if taken far enough, would yield "you can build your own car from the ground up". I can't even locate a nearby, reliable, affordable mechanic! cn
It costs a ton of money to buy new batteries. The car isn't worth buying because of that.if you're on a tight budget and don't like paying a mechanic, avoid these new cars. i can't even imagine how you would change the battery on a prius, but it seems like you would have to take half the damn thing apart to get at it.
The most favorite car I ever owned was a old beat up VW beetle. I still want a bug just newer. Though the ones that have the pull start motor would be just too cool.it's a little 4 cylinder that gets about 35 mpg. i'd say that pretty good.
you can even take up the upholstery, install some coils, wire them to the car's electric system, reattach the upholstery and make heated seats if you'd like.
getting the sat radio is tough, you have to take off all the little panels from basically the center console and forward to get at the radio, but it's easier than most new cars and can be done in about 3-4 hours reassembled.
I have no interest in the Prius. I like stickshift. I've had a request into our quasi-local dealer to look at a Honda Fit with a stick. Not a one has come through this region in these past three months. They're shipping almost all of them with theif you're on a tight budget and don't like paying a mechanic, avoid these new cars. i can't even imagine how you would change the battery on a prius, but it seems like you would have to take half the damn thing apart to get at it.
