yeah they definatly eat, have you ever kept a largmouth ? they are crazy eaters as well.

I wouldnt mind setting up a nice 200 gal catfish tank, they get huge and are really fun to watch.
No game fish except for the gar. But a bass is just like an oscar imagine they would do well in a big enough tank. But, would probably kill the competition.

yeah they are pretty aggresive fish, but its cool to watch them chow down a dozen medium sized goldfish in around 10 sec flat
I hear you their appetite is crazy. I Had mine for almost 15 years about 3in long when I got him and 16in and 2.5lbs at the end. Hole in the head disease killed him. Probably would have went another 5 years. They say a bass is one of the top most aggressive freshwater fish. Though, my snakehead was pretty evil too. He didn't fuck with my oscar though. Mutual respect I guess.

Sounds like we could just come to yalls place and do some exotic fishing in your tanks.......anyone doing the artificial reef thing? I am very interested in it and hope to restart this coming fall(first attempt was a fail)The whole wave action, moon phase ect. really intrigues me....

hey fellas, just found this thread. way cool. i grew up fishing the lakes and rivers around my house. i guess it was more fishing/exploring/starting fires/building forts/swimming etc... lol

still go out a few times a week with my trusty wenonah canoe during the summer. mostly largmouth and smallmouth where i am. the occasional trout and catfish when we go up to the big lakes in PA or upstate.

the season is upon us boys! i'll get some pics up soon.

Never played around with salt water but, heard it can be pretty tough. The payoff would be grand because there are some beautiful set ups out there. And I have thrown in a rubber worm before with no hook only line and have had my fish go ballistic over it. Not a bad fight either!

A beautiful day on the water! Fish are biting.

3/5 on Marlin. Nice black marlin came up on the left bridge teaser and almost pulled the outrigger down. Luckily he stayed in the spread and we got him to gobble up one of the pitch baits. Got a blue marlin to do a little tail walk for us too.

Went out fly fishing using a grey ghost streamer fly. Lost a big salmon after chasing him down the riverbank for 10 minutes. Oh well! Did get these brook trout, landlocked salmon. I'll be out again tomorrow.
