Growing tree's in a tree

Close-up of the female. Note the two brown-tipped hairs, is it correct that this means they're impregnated?? (remember that's a good thing in my situation)

they look unfertilized to me, i'm really shocked on how early this flowered, the shade didn't look that dark, but seeing is believing

What do you mean they look unfertilized (or did you mean UN-impregnated)?? I was surprised as well and although it didn't veg very long It'll be done ALOT sooner :weed:, and the pics taken are when the sun is actually on it, but I'm pretty sure it's missing out on like half the day because the whole other side of the tree blocks the light which I'm pretty sure what caused it to flower so early.

can't see the attachment, i use proxies which sometimes cause a few viewing problems
fertilized pistils begin to wither and dry up, these don't look like that, fresh and healthy, but i suppose it's possible that it is just starting, appearance will change if it has been fertilized

edit - i now see the 2nd pic, those do look like they have been fertilized, can't zoom in as far as i would like, so it's a guess

Ok thanks, I thought so but just wanted to know for sure what they'd look like.

Can anyone tell me why this one hair is purple/pinkish?? We've had consecutive days in the 50's and read that will cause it, is this correct??

you could, it probably wouldn't do any harm, but lst is usually used for small space situations(inside), or for some stealth outdoors

Well I've never done LST but I think it would be good for the situation, and also It wasn't vegged for very long at all so it didn't really have time to grow the clone branches. I think I'll try it out, from what I've read I just tie a rope around so that it's slanted almost bent on the stem is this right??

pretty much yea you just tie it down to the side of the pot or something, it will force the plants auxins to change route and head to the next highest branch and make it grow up.

that's the basic idea, start gradual, and a string should be fine
usually it is advised to counter tie at the base first so you don't pull the plant out by the roots

Ok I'll give it a try. As far as the hermie goes I think its a bit to tall now and will only get taller to do that so will just let it grow, I was thinking about super cropping it but wont stress cause more seed production, any ideas for it??

you'll definitely have a lot of techniques under you belt, i've never super cropped, but i'd think that may be more of a risk to a smaller plant

Haha damn, I usually wait till I'm not medicated to climb the tree as I find it more exhausting while I am :eyesmoke:

Just got done and decided to LST both of them, but should I make them so the top colas are pointing towards the direction where they get the most sun from or away from it??
