LSTing do all plants/strains respond well ?

im just wondering if lsting is a good idea with all strains or if theres some that dont respond well? considering it for auto fem lemon haze.

yes, LST means more bud spots, growing without training allows the highest node to get a majority of nutrients and energy, depriving the lower branches. by LSTing you are trying to get multiple buds of equal weight, keeping all of them the same length from their light source. thats the basic idea of a scrog grow.

heres my plants, i LST most of my girls but i can show you the apparent difference.

I doubt it makes a real difference. You force a plant down, it tries to grow back up towards the light, when it does, you bend it back down. Rinse and repeat.

I'm sure all plants will basically respond the same way.

thats why you tie it down lol

most plants do...any plant will grow towards the light, so anytime you make the tallest part not the tallest growth reroutes itself to get whatever is facing the light to grow up towards it...LST gives stronger stems and more tops to get more bud from...it is a good idea in any scenario...and like I said it works on most plants...MJ, tomatoes, and marigolds to name a few.

I have a SLH and I can assure you that it does great with LST
havent come across a strain that doesnt like LST honestly. it basically just makes the plant more efficient, when its growing sideways less shadows can be casted over the lower leaves that way all of them are properly photosynthesizing. also inspires faster branch growth, works great when you need clones.

Ya

The question of the thread/OP was: "if lsting is a good idea with all strains or if theres some that dont respond well?"

My post was basically saying the strain is irrelevant. LST of a plant is always simply..... LST of a plant, they all respond the same way regardless of the strain.

I have a black domina (100% indica) it has very compact growth.
I didn't lst it and it still ended up growing 4 main colas. And it barely stretched when I flipped the switch so I would say this strain wouldn't necessarily need or respond well to lst because it is a short strain by its genetics.

thanks every one for the input ive never really grown b4 but i started some sprouts to put outside this season and now that ive got a taste for it im doing as much research as i can and am currently putting a cfl cab together picking a strain etc but since im limited on space and am using cfls lsting rlly appeals to me. also the sprouts ive started are about a week from when i put them in their peat moss to sprout ive moved them to dixie cups if anyone feels like telling me if there doin all right ill upload pics tks again for the advice

I am on a very first grow with 3 autos, does LST work just as well with autos? or does it stress the plant enough to reduce a yield? mine are currently 5 weeks, and several bud sites are shadowed by the main foliage. I keep turning the pots to give them the most light as possible. Is LST too stressfull this far into flower? Or am i ok to bend the lower bud sites into direct light or am i too far into development to cause harm to my plants?

squeeze the stems till they're flimsy until they can be tied down, you dont stress them that much when training but the best thing to do is tie them then leave them.
