eBay grow box

Hi everyone !
Have never atempted to grow before. Live in a condo and prefer a stealth set up that doesn't run to hot. Only growing for personal use. Also Im not to handy. Any thoughts on this one?

There are a few issues here. That is DWC and the resvoir is clear so u already know u are going to have slimy and algea roots and water. Then the third issue it is only 3 cfl bulbs. if it was like 5-6 maybe yay. the height is also short but u can lst and scrog so that ould work but yea u will need to get more bulbs and change the res. u can build yourown for cheaper

Would never buy a box off ebay. Just get a U-Haul Moving box, with the metal clothes rack (for hanging the light) for $12. Get 2-3 cans of gloss white spray paint and paint the inside for $10. Get some duct tape to seal it up for $5-10. Get a Marker and Box Cutter for $10. Get some fans from walmart for $10 a piece. Save your money on the box and spend it on the light. Get a 500w Blackstar LED for it, smaller than HID, saves electricity, you wont have to worry about heat with it, and it wont be a fire hazard in a condo.

I built a sweet U-Haul Grow Box for a buddy of mine, wish i had pics. The carboard box box is so easy to modify, you can get creative with it, make it really nice.

I would grow in soil for your first grow, the U-Haul Box can do 2-3 Plants. Use good soil and good nutes with the LED and you are set. Try X Nutrients 3 Stage with the Nutrient Spray.

Thanks for the info! Was originally looking at led , but read some negative reports on this forum. There are 2 500w blackstar LED lights on the site, which one would work better? Like the idea of the tent, will look into it. And soil sounds like a good start.
Appreciate any advice.

I have an LED and HPS and each has there own application. I am about to buy another LED myself because I am that impressed with what I have seen. For small spaces LED is way better. A quality LED, like the 500w Blackstar, should have no problems at all and yield exceptional results. I would disregard the negative info you heard.

Get the flowering model of the 500w Blackstar. You can veg with this light and bloom with it:

Get good soil from Home Depot or the Garden Store. And get a cheap fan for inside and you are set.

Yes, you can use that light for the whole grow, no problem.

For a small box, you don't necessarily need an intake fan, just a hole for fresh air, you do want a fan inside circulating the air.

As far as soil, I would buy a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest Organic potting soil, you can also just use Miracle Grow potting mix if you want.

Make sure to use the X Nutes spray on your leaves and buds and the results should be insane.

If u are gonna do it, you might as well order good seeds from Amsterdam. You can buy individual feminized seeds online.
