Yea definitly did a NO NO and am hating life right now. I tried pruning my plants and cut perfectly good leaves off, i read up on greenmanspage and he says never to cut perfect leaves off, but i just saw sooo much growth beneth them and noticed the new growth was not getting any light so i decided to trim off Some leaves. the thing is my plants look great right now they are just compleltly stunted and havent changed for the past 5 days im very worried and hopfully time will tell.

you just cost yourself a week or two. they will recover but as you've noticed they have stunted. they will be ok.

yeah i trimmed alot of my leaves off of my 3 plants because im in 3 weeks to flowering and and i only got 4 weeks to go maybe less the way theyre looking right now. so i trimmed off hella leaves. so the lower buds will be getting light so they can form. i dont care if my plants stunt theyre already
over 1 meter= 39.35in theyre proably about 42inches right now. so purtty lol

:) yup i said the same on your journal. They are probably fine. I try to prune over time. AT MOST less than 1/3 of mature leaves over all. If you need to cut 8 leaves do it over 4 days to help reduce stress.

Hey cheeto, dont worry too much , i am going through the same issues right now, there is alot of controverse over pruning / i prunned during veg and a little while flowering now I do see the affeact of prunning during Veg but i was limited on space and money, and of course knowledge. I have some good tops but if i had not of prunned i would have longer colas, but they still look good

I did some pruning on my moms when I took clones and it pissed the moms off and they grew like the spread of aids in San fransico. They bushed out and jumpe about 3 inches in 4 days.

So now they in buckets all but root locked.

I was a huge fan of pruning, then on a new grow I decided not to prune anything unless it was dead. I'm a lot happier for that. much bigger and fuller buds then when i pruned.

Cheeto, you dont mention how old they are. It has actually been recently reported (this months high times mag)that trimming leaves 20 days prior to harvest, and again at 10 days.....is a very good thing.
Peace

Im sorry if i am drailing this thread, but i just had to tell all you guys that...

YOU ALL FUCKING ROCK!!!!!!

Since i joined this forum a while back i have gained more knowledge in that time span than in the last 5 years of growing!!!! to hear topics like this that are seldomly explained and discussed in detail are the things that make this site the fucking best site ever for every grower, i keep telling all my fellow growers in the area that they must become members over here and start surfing the forums for there ansers, cause if you cant find them here, you wont find them anywhere!!!

Well like i said, I have a particular interest in this post and what comes out of it from all you fellow growers cause i would like to consider myself on the cutting edge of growing, and if it werent for sites like this, i sure as hell wouldnt have nearly as much yield in my garden. You all have such a great knowledge its good to know that we all have the same questions and many of us have our own answers....

Well sorry for the derail, but i just thought you all deserve a pat on the back from guys like me and others within the community, for all the insight and knowledge you all bring to the table :)

May you all be blessed with healthy gardens and may your buds bloom big!!!:)

welcome to the family. so are you gonna trim your leaves? i'm not. i think millions of years of evolution have worked it all out. i'm gonna let nature do it's thing.
