hey guys, just figured i would share, a situation came up that forced me to chop a bit early

ok so the girls are chopped and trimmed, i seriously almost cried chopping down the blue cheese since she had around 3-4 more weeks

i have a few others that are just starting to flower that arent worth chopping so ill reveg them outside for the summer.

weighed them and wet weight was....

Blue cheese: 277.3 grams

Frisian dew: 165.2 grams

Bag seed: 28.9 grams (i already chopped the tops off it was letting it get a little more weight on the lower nodes)

so a grand total of 471.4 grams (wet) if i get 1/2 that in weight ill have 235.7 grams, 8 1/2 Oz so lets say 6 Oz to be on the safe side...not too shabby i guess for 2 plants. that blue cheese was going to be a fucking monster and probally would have been well over 600g wet alone if i could have let it go another 4 weeks....

cant really complain about chopping the frisian dew as it was pretty much ready as you can see in the pics.

anyways heres the pics, frisian dew is up first..

and heres the blue cheese, not sure whats up with the darker one in the middle, maybe it was closer to the UVB bulb or something, i realize its turned the opposite way of the others but it is distinctly darker than the rest.

hope you guys like, im saddened but also pleased with my results, if i could have waited another month no doubt in my mind i would have done over 1g per watt so i must have done something right

yeah i have a few clones, just need to get the shit out the house and if i put the plants that are deeper into flower outside they are just going to re veg, i should have just taken the tops off the blue cheese and put it out to grow again all summer but meh.....

about to smoke the scissor hash now...my favorite part lol

love the blue cheese, its one of my favorite strains right now. all organic just brings out that berry and cream flavor and especially love the fact that you almost dont have to cure it to get the beautiful flavor. that wasnt a bad yeild early maybe but frisian dew ripens quick and blue cheese in my exp is medium slow.

also blue cheese is sensitive to the light it prefers to not be in the direct light im finding in comparison to my other strains that are very resistant to direct light the blue cheese prefers to be in indirect, and actually does better under the fluoro, and can be super sensitive to UV. i had to harvest early because i fried a blue cheese under a UV cfl during the burn in period at like 6inches and another one was stunted like hell, started growing like a ?grindspoon? super potent afterwards tho

sorry to hear about the early chop :\ . all in all they look GREAT! Your dry weight will probably be less than 6 zones sorry to say.. but most of my strains put most the weight in the last few weeks..so you probably would have done real well. theres always next time! let us know how the smoke is!

i ended up with 471.4 grams which is 16.8 Oz wet.....1/2 of that is like 8.4......i dont think 6 oz is a unreasonable estimate......we will see though

leave them some of the less developed lower buds as a source of energy, im sure you know to feed high N now too. imo reveg is worth it, once you got all that root mass you can really get some fat ass buds off them. if you reveg the frisian though one of those buds would probably come back bigger than a baseball bat lol. maybe they'll swell another week before revegging too, i kind of noticed they put out a good amount of trichs before finally revegging. may be caused by the spectrum this time of year.

and lol thats my favorite part about trimming too, especially when i dont see hash going around. i was thinking about making BHO with my early clippings, would have been worth it but i got desperate and smoked it

depends on how dense they are, im gonna guess like 8-10 oz. i think the equation for the best estimate was like 63% of your water weight, i forget the exact number but im pretty sure it was around there. varies between indicas and sativas im pretty sure though, i think indicas can carry more water weight sometimes from my experiences. though i havent grown a really airy strain like super silver for like 5-6 years now so im not too sure hows a true sativa would compare.

yeah i dont think he read the entire post on page 1 is all...i laid the math out pretty good. if i only get 3 oz out of over a Lb of wet that will be pretty depressing.

Man you can't count out the cheese.. I have a Blue Cheese now that is about 2/3 the size of most my plants but weighs 3 to 4 times those others. These buds are like concrete... its sick! Nice grow enjoy the smoke.
