silent extraction

I live in a shared house and theres a weird guy living in the room next to me who sits in silence (i can handle quiet people but thats not why hes weird, everyone who meets him say he seems like a psychopath, although he nice and polite he has a weird kinda aura). I feel like everything i do in my room he is envisioning in his head while he sits thre plotting my downfall. So i need a silent extraction, i mean, ive got fans from shops that are makerted as quite and they still sound like a gale force wind. i need something that i can run at night and it be quiet enough for the noise not too past through to the next room (its in my closet)
has anyone got recommendation other than moving house ? i saw a bathroom extractor called 'silent 300' which looks pretty good and its £55 approx. any thoughts ? Thanks in advance for advice bongsmilie

it cant be silent.. it will always be some kind of noise.

only way for it to be silent is to turn the fan off, or turn it down on a speed controller.

They will always make some noise. What you going to do when the smell starts getting strong?

do what i did and get a fan controller, it really does help.

I have a huge fan that is a beast, but i dont need it on full blast all the time, and I hate trying to sleep when it sounds like a hurricane or tornado is going through my room.
So I got a fan controller and it works great! and I can adjust it to only use as much power as i need.

It already doea lol i got ona gel but its only good during the day when i put an oscillating fan by it. I relly want it so i can add more lights coz atm my heat is mayb 28 and ive got a fan in there but the smell can only come back into my room. Somedays the whole house smells like frshly cut spring onions coz of it. This guy hasrented a room here for 10 years and people say he thinks hes the landlord but i dont think he likes me coz i like to take things into my own hands lol anyways cheers dde

TT fans are pretty quiet man, got a 5" in my veg cab and you cant really hear it. You can buy different models but the one i have has a built in speed controller which really helps with the noise. Justfans is a good place to start your search for a fan, they will give you all the decibel ratings for their fans as well.

get to know the guy maybe smoke with him then stop being paranoid about shit or move your plants out of the closet and into the room or run ducting from the plants to a fan in the middle of the room buy furniture so the sound has to bounce around more things to make it through. things like that? just an idea.
