I don't know if you can follow the pictures but I rotated from right to left and if I go across my office ceiling with a 6" duct then I can exhaust whole closet thought bud room and exhaust out side of house through a vent. My master bedroom is above room and don't want to be running shit up though there. I have a few feet on a shelf up top and I will have room on right of circuit box to do some veg. I really don't need too though. Not sure about all that.
I went from one tent to two tents to possibly using entire closet. lol.

I just found this thread and this is my first grow in a tent but I am loving the functionality.

P.S. - BTW it's a 5x5.

nice!! loving the set up, and good to see you growing after so many years again! i bet your having fun!
Thanks, I really am having fun. I am bringing my inner gardener out as he has been in hibernation for some time.

Now I want to get a bigger place not only to grow more MJ but to grow strawberries and herbs and shit like that.

Aloha,
don't mean to be off the beat, but I had a question I am looking for a good strain with tight nugs to grow in side, would really like the nugs to be tight. Any suggestions?
Aloha from beautiful Hawaii.

Tight nugs, good strain.... I'd have to reccomend the last strain I grew - Reserva Privadas Sour Kush (Sour Diesel x OG Kush).. Took me 72 days to flower, they were all extremely DENSE nuggets, im talking eighths the size of your thumb, after 8 weeks of curing. Yield was surprisingly good considering how strong the flowers are .Of all the strains I've grown from seed so far, RP: Headband was the strongest growing plant, and consistent plant I've grown... (ordered from attitude seeds, google it, RIU has a coupon code too).. The nuggets smell like stinky diesel, with kush overtones that really smooth things out. Tastes far better than the straight Sour Diesel i've had around town.

Heres my completed Reserva Privada Sour Kush journal, ask any questions in the journal and I'll help you out :) (lights/nutes/strains etc.)

Got my new tent all geared up! Ready to do some serious work... I literally ended up buying a brand new fuckin' setup after looking at DECENT hoods for 10 minutes.. Damn. Whatever. bongsmilie

Started with a 6 inch yield master II hood, threw a 400w HPS in there, added a 6 inch 320cfm MaxFan.. Currently have it running at setting 2/3 and it's sucking the shit out of my walls. 8) Put 2x 100w t5's in there for veg, two 4 inch fans, and one 6 inch oscillating fan at the floor..

I'm dropping that HPS in there by friday for 12/12.

Finished reading the entire thread and it seems I might be needing an intake fan to cool the temps in my tent. I'm running a 4x4x6.5 tent with a 600w lumatek dimmable which is dialed down to 300w at the moment. I am having heat issues with it dialed down to only 300w. I feel that when I go up to 600w the temps are going to get out of control. What size fan should I go with for intake? I've read that the intake fan should be 1/3 of the speed of the exhaust fan BUT the price difference between a 4" and 6" hydrofarm is only 10 bucks. Heres my journal: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/535189-first-grow-600w-4x4-tent.html

you could get the bigger fan and use a speed controller??

I think the intake and exhaust fans should be the same CFM rating, that's what I have in my tent. That way you don't have any extra pressure on the tent seams when the tent bows in or out.

Thanks for the reply. If I am going to run my exhaust ducting about 18' should I add another 4" fan in between the exhaust ducting to help push it out?

18 feet is a pretty long length of duct to push air through so I agree with you that a booster fan should be employed to get proper air flow throughout the duct. You can probably go cheaper on that fan but you do get what you pay for so keep that in mind when deciding which unit to purchase.

I just added some new stuff to my tent. I setup a drainage system for my hydro setup (I have a bad back and this makes draining the system a breeze) and a 7000 BTU A/C.

Here are some pics:

Nice setup Berk!! Now what u gonna put in there?
Thx bassman, I am already on Day 3 of Veg of my second run with Pineapple Kush. I plan on getting this strain right on this grow. Last grow wasn't bad but I can do better.

If you look real closely you will see the 4 tiny clones. ;-)

P.S. - I just emptied the hydro system and checked the drainage system for leaks but found none. I finally got it right!

I think that is the way to do it running a single strain so no need to worry as they are all on the same page. I wish I could stick to that!! I am excited for ya!!

Thanks bro, I am excited for myself! The last batch of PK is curing up nicely. I just grabbed a main cola and broke off some in the grinder and damn did that smell great! The pineapple smell is really starting to come out. I had to promptly smoke 4 bowls to the domepiece.

I think 1 strain is the way to go when still learning like me. I think after you have grown for a while and know what strains have similar feeding schedules, you can grow as many different strains as you find that work together. I am a beginner at best so I am sticking with just 1 strain until after this grow. Then I think I am going to do 2 strains; FMILY, wheels, and BC all seem to think Sasha and Skunky Monkey would work well together.

My Purple Urkle and Grape Krush look very similar in shape and structure, but are on totally different pages as far as nutrient uptake goes. I ran 4 girls this time and each a different strain. I tried to fed them all with one batch, but late in flowering I have to start to be more specific as they were way different.

The Sasha and Skunky Monkey look really nice, I like the looks #3 & #4 of the Skunky Monkey that FM has right now. I prefer indicas usually, with some exceptions. I actually have a few clones that are sativas though.
