Not really sure where this would go so i figured this section got most views so i posted here. Mods, feel free to move if you feel necessary.

Anyways onto the situation. I have 3 plants in my flowering cab, Isn't really my flowering cab right now just gonna be once i switch. One male, two females under 24/7 light. The females have showed their sex like normal but the male is in all out flower and im wondering if the females will or can produce seeds under 24/7 if they are pollinated or does it have to go into 12/12?

Thanks and +rep for good answers

Edit: I know they will be pollinated in veg by previous experiences, I want to know if they will PRODUCE SEEDS in veg.

The one bad thing about pollen is that it survives for about 6 months and requires bleach to remove it. With that said, did the sacks where the male is swell up yet?

The females cannot produce seeds now, but they will have the pollen on them. So if you go into 12/12 6 months from now you are fine. Sooner, and you are gambling. SUCKS.

I don't believe they will be able to sexually handle mature pollen and create seeds without the change in the hormones from the 12/12 flash. I would be absolutely shocked if they produce seeds for you in veg. The plant is supposed to be physically incapable of reproduction without the appropriate night hours.

I agree with everything you say. However, if there is live pollen on the plant...they will make seeds. If his male released pollen, those females will have it on them. If they then go into a mature state, they will be pollenated.

MMJ pollen does not require bleach to be removed or render non-viable, a simple spray down with tap water and allowed to completely dry will kill all of the pollen in your grow room.

Yes, absolutely. But you wouldn't see seeds until they too went into flower. Then the plant sperm would soak in their new lady parts and make a seed. But without budding, you wont get seeds.

I haven't heard that work before. All suggestions I have seen say to clean the entire room with a cleaning agent.

YES!!!!!!

I do this all the time when I need a few seeds.

I will pollinate the pre flowers on rooted clones and the seeds will develop normally even when the clones are kept under a 18/6 light cycle.

I was surprised, but it seems once they're pollinated the seeds will develop regardless of the light cycle.

I've heard of water with some bleach in a spray works best. Esp in a grow room. Turn off all venting and fans. Wash the floor, walls, ceilings, and make sure you also sterilize the fans. Pollen spores in the air can travel for miles and live for months for sure. Pollinate in a separate room for sure, with separate venting.

So the question is, can he wash off his plants successfully?

That's just stoner science and bogus information. Water only will kill pollen and a light misting will do the trick.

Try storing it sometime. It's really difficult to keep pollen viable.

Interesting.

From what source did you pick up this information? Do you have a cite?

It sorta contradicts what I've been doing for the last couple of years, which is pollinating and producing seeds from female plants in a vegative state.

The males of course were in 12/12 to kick in flowering. The females were from long term mother plants with loads of pre flowers even under 18/6.
