I have done quite a few of these and it is amazing how much i saved from a water heater, the most being that timer because y keep the water heated if u are not using it threw out the day. Don't fall for the CFL lie; they put off huge amounts of dirty energy and they are not nearly as energy efficient as they claim. Disposing of them is an environmental disaster. Just get reduced wattage incandescent bulbs and only turn them on when you need them on.

Hmm my bill is about $225 a month with 4 600 watt lights. I run them mostly at night. I have changed all bulbs in the house to 23 watt cfls or 13 watt leds. In summer I have to keep my ac at 69-70 unless outside temps are 73 or lower.I keep lights off except when needed. Home computers can use few hundred watts so unplug when not in use not just turned off as they still vampire electricity. Same with stereos, dvd players,put fridge on energy saver mode make sure its a newer one old ones use huge power...use blackout curtains to keep out sun heat or winter cold.I use dimmable ballst so in flower I go 18-6 dimmed to 360 watts each 600 watt for flower..Tvs more then 3-4 years old such power plasmas use almst 300 watts..If your unlucky and have electric dryer and water heater do bigger loads, wrap water heater with insulation blankets to cut heating times.Keep looking around you ll find ways to balance.

In Washington I run 4 -1000s 24/7 and my household of 5 people.... bill is $500-600

Buddy of mine we set him up with 4 -1000s on 24/7 hes lives alone... his bill last month was $385


We did a commercial grow in Colorado 4 1000 wat mh lights on 24/7... 14 lights 12/12.... 2 exhaust fans....wall fans and 2 air conditioners and our monthly bill was $1100-1200

where im at im paying 850 a month for 4 thousand watts 12/12, a mini split, dehumidifier, and 600 watts in veg 24/0


and thats with all 13wcfls and living by myself and being a complete tight wad about electricity. i run at night and dont use any electric besides tv and one 13w cfl when lights are on.

after reading some of ur guys elect bill, i can proudly say im glad i dnt live where u live. i run 2-1000w with digital ballest with 220volt, 8" exhaust fan, 10000 btu a/c, and other misc equip..fand,tri meter, floros for side lighting etc.. and it only cost me 80-100$ a month. my wife cooks and does laundry every day and my kids leave every light, tv ,computer and any thing else they can possibly find to leave on. average monthly bill is 160-175$ its a full time job turring shit off around my house.

this makes me angry. or jealous. you couldnt be any more lucky. i just got a notice in the mail with my 2100 dollar 80 day electric bill, they will be increasing my rate 9%. time to move.

There is no way a 1000 watter should cost more than $100.00 a month even if it is on 24/7 I did the calculations where I live and at 5c a KWh for 2 600 watters at 12hrs a day, it is only like $45.00 a month! 1000Watt X10c a kilowatt hr should still only be like $75.00 His bill is going up $6 a day from 1 1000 watter? Thats seems ALL Fuc*!ed Up
