fox farm nutes

thinkingof using fox farm nutes the open sesame cha ching and bastie bloom i'am running a deep water culture system would like what people think about the product and can these nutes all be added to my pails or do you have to mix each solution seperate what should i use for veg keep in mind that it's all hydro no soil

iv used fox farm for a few years now never had any problems, are you also going to be using the tiger bloom and the big bloom with the open sesame and stuff or just the powders? also if your using fox farm you should just go with the grow big for veg.

not fimilar with fox farm products I guess u can't use the 3 products all the way veg into flower what would u suggest for veg and flower

I've been using FF base nutes in FF soil for 3 grows now and like it for the most part, but those solubles just seem redundant to me. All 3 are high P ferts with their "micro pack". I've asked their reps directly and the answer I got was pretty much the same as the marketing labels, just a description of what and when they're "good for"(stages of flower, bud density, oil production, etc), not how they are different enough to justify 3 products instead of 1. I was actually just trying to pick which of the 3 I would prefer to use as a bloom booster, and was turned off from the entire line for that reason.

@alonefarmer, do you know something I dont? Seems a few years of using a line of nutes would have some sort of justification. I like FF's soil and base nutes, and I've never tried the solubles but dont like to buy stuff that's being sold the way those are.

Don't know never used the trio by itself always used them in combination.

What do you need me to justify? All i was saying is that iv had good results with fox farms line up always used the trio + the solubles never bothered me how the solubles are sold. Everyone splits the line up into different times just to make more money but never bothered me i still buy all three. But if i was going to choose just one of the solubles i would pick the beastie bloomz 0-50-30 because there no nitrogen the other two have a little nitrogen and i know some people don't like nitrogen for flower.

I wasn't asking you to justify anything to me and I'm not trying to give you shit for using them if thats how it came off. Like I said, I've been wanting to try out some bloom boosters and FF was my first choice so I was trying to find a reason to pick them up, but I need to see real reasons behind their use and never got much so I kinda shrugged them off as unnecessary and expensive. And I was more assuming that you wouldn't have been using a line of products for years without having the justification for yourself, either side-by-sides with/without or understanding the differences between them. That's a long time to not play around with something for me personally.

It just seems like the solubles arent much different than the base nutes besides the lack of N, which I'm personally not too interested in; I've gotten overfert problems long before I felt I had too much nitrogen when using Tiger Bloom. 0-50-30 is just a concentrated 0-10-6, which isn't too far from their 2-8-4 in Tiger Bloom.

OS: 5-45-19 = 1-9-4 and CC: 9-50-10 = 2-10-2 which is the most different because of less K. Again, if it's just a very precise manipulation to perfect the ratio of available nutrients at the right time, I get it. But labels, the FF rep I talked to, and numerous advocating users all haven't really claimed that and instead say that they: improve root growth for flowering(different than root growth for vegging?), increase bud density, improve oil, flavor, etc. That isn't a biological mechanism, it's a selling point. And the fact that the selling point is the most technical reasoning thats given is what mostly keeps me from buying.

I like FF as a company because they seem like a straight up company with a variety of choices for different applications, not just targeting pot growers with gimmicky bs. And I've had mostly good experiences with their products besides not liking OF(ph issues). But the solubles just IMO break that trend for them, feels like marketing more than anything. Not to say they don't do exactly what they're supposed to though as I haven't tried them. If I get better answers from the company at some point I'll probably give them a shot. /rant

I went to the store looking for foxfarm nutes and he recommended Healthy Plant because it is a one time application fertilizer for growth up until its time for my plants to start budding, and ive been using that ever since.

Sorry for thinking you were giving me shit i kinda think aggressively lol. I agree with what your saying and i understand your points. Only side-by-side iv done in those years was with canna which had way more additives and parts then i need and was alot more expensive for my taste and still ended up with the same quantity and quality as with fox farm which was way cheaper for me and there only a few parts compared too canna. well thats it for me I bow down to any more reply's. to much talking for me. again mike91sr sorry for being a ass.
