It does speed things up. For example, my sour kush is usually ready by the 8th week instead of the 9th. Also, if you've been pushing them hard with nutes or just moderately feeding take this tip: 3 day flush with 300 ppm of Botanicare sweet ( the only thing and the only time anything organic should go in the aero res, not a matter of opinion but more a matter of experience) and put another 75 ppm of FoxFarm Cha Ching. The ppm I speak of is with the .5 conversion using a Hanna meter. If your using the truncheon meter (.7 conversion) multiply my numbers by 1.4. Another thing that should be curbed is the use of Potassium Silicate. I don't know exactly why, but if you use too much ( ie, running organics in aero and because of said organics the need for very frequent pH up and potassium silicate is used instead of potassium hydroxide) it won't come out harsh in the end , just as long as you flushed, but it may come out bland.
