Joy in those who will die as a result? No. I simply don't care about people who are not ready for what's to come. Given they are physically & mentally capable, they have the freedom to be ready.

I do have an idea, that plenty of people are not capable in withstanding natures law of Darwin's Theory. What's your point? Funny enough, that has a very tight correlation as to why this country is so unsustainable currently.
Regarding the grandma theory... would you like to foot the food bills, for someone else's grandma? It's not your obligation to feed them, so why should someone force that obligation upon you? They shouldn't, period. Should I be forced to? No. That's my choice as a human.
If I have family members who would die as a result, it has no bearing on my argument. It's not my obligation or anyone else's, to take care of them. While I have the means of taking care of my immediate family, I by no means would be able to take care of multiple others branches, of my family tree. That's their job, and not my obligation to help them. People are people, whether they are family members or not.
