200w led or 200w cfl? and why please?
Unlike 400w hps, HO T5s have no radiant heat.
The twin ballasts are pretty warm. I would not recommend using an 8 bulb in a tent with a sealed top. Now you could cut out the top and get some insulated foam boards to semi cover (retractable roof). My DIY tent does not have a top so the hot air rises. Still I am blowing a fan over it
i have 2 X 70w hps here but im using a 125w and 2 X 45w red cfls, there in a small cupboard with a light breeze, would the hps's be better or just crisp my plants up and burn the cupboard down? would i need another fan or an exhaust?? :-/
Here's what CFL and LED combined got me/ the last pic is the Kraken; still going strong and on track to produce well over an onion of manicured stank bud. The rest totaled around 3 and a half. Good luck on your efforts and don't let them discourage you, there is potential with CFL. I admit not what you could achieve with HPS but still not a waste of time.

.....the led create enough breeze that you don't need an oscillating fan.
