Not the 'automated' one with the pump and hoses. Don't need that. Just water it yourself every day.

yes i try to get people to grow hempy to at least try it....but it seems at least on this site several older members dont quite get the hempy buckets so they knock the shit outta them...i dont mind tho cause i know its from their in-experence with them...but once you try it for yourself few change back to anything else...if you got any ?'s zoe feel free....peace az

i went to walmart the other day to pick up some perlite for my new clones to try HB style, but there were no perlite on the shelves. the closest home depot or lowes is over 60 miles away..... i got some dirt for the first some, i was growing soiless mix b4.. i really wanted to try HB too


the only thing that seems like a pain is watering every third day or so.... other than that it seems brilliant.

thanks AZ I have 4 total in that batch I did fim one of them it was my first go at it so I only did one just in case, and I am using cfl's ( I no you dont aprove) but I have seen enough newbies without the benefit of the hempy bucket pull off some nice grows with them so why not me....... I do appreciate all your help along the way

i figuerd you were still using them cfls...after you get some experience i suggest some hid lighting in your future...just my opinion tho....but you will even be more shocked as to what you can do with the right lights....peace az

what could i get my area is small 2X2 no real way to vent except using a small fan cant run exahaust etc.... i would love too just doesnt seem practical for my operation

I thought my Walmart didn't carry it too. Asked the sales help and wondered around the store and came up with nothing. I went home and called a few Walmarts and was told that they didn't carry it, wtf?!

Well, I was in Walmart shopping for other supplies and just happened onto the perilite - for some reason the Walmarts hide the perilite deep in the gardening section, not outside with most of the soil and such. Look over where the Seed Starter trays are, you'll find it there and it's only $2.78 for the Schultz 8qt bag, which has no additives like the MG perilite I picked up at Home Depot. I picked up 7 (which was all that they had) of them a couple of weeks ago.

And now after switching everything over from DWC to Hempy, I am totally out! I ordered a huge bag - 4 cubic I think, from my friendly neighborhood Hydro Store and can't wait for it to come in! Last night I took like 40 clones from my ladies that had been flowering for only 2 weeks and in a few days, I'm gonna need more!

Anyway We TaRdED, it's probably in your Walmart hiding just like mine was...

Hey lJamiel - I was up to 2 sets of DWC tanks with 8 plants in each, in my flowering room. Half white widow and half AK-99, so I took 5 cuts from each of the youngest 8 plants while I was lollipoping them last night.

Oh and hey, I germ'd 10 seeds that I got free from somewhere I ordered like a couple of years ago... they all cracked! I was kinda surprised at that. The problem is they weren't labeled - so no idea what they are, but they will be going into Hempy that's for sure!

I wanted April 30th to be my final date for putting new plants in the flowering room, but since I want to grow out the Cheese when it arrives - I've decided to push it out to May 30th, which means I'll be growing through July 30th. But no way do I grow in August and September here - just too hot!

Hey Az, you only paid $17.00?! I am getting ripped off!! They are charging me $24.99 and these guys usually give me great deals on everything... holy crap! I'm gonna have to ask them for the super duper discount now...lol

And oh yeah, my Home Depot didn't have the big bags of perilite in yet, they claim that it will be in my the end of the month - if it's only $17 there, that's were I'll be getting it from now on. Unfortunately I can't wait til the end of month, so I'm just gonna get hosed!

ya, i was looking inside and i saw the soil, ferts, seeds, small bags of vermiculite, seed starter kits, etc etc, but no perlite. they are probably getting it shipped later in the season....... im not worried about it, i can try HB style next time i see some perlite from somewhere.

Thanks for the site Az - but I called them, to give 'em a piece of my mind and they told me it's a 6 cubic ft bag, so I feel much better now... lol Actually, my store gives me great prices and most times will match what I find on the web - kinda felt bad for doubting them... lol

You store had vermiculite?! Not mine
But I am happy with the results from just perilite and besides... it is what Az suggests, so I'm sticking with the program
