First garden, training it, when to flower?

Ok so after being up in humboldt and working for a big commercial grower, I finally gained the confidence to grow my seeds that I have been holding onto for about 10 years now. (I know I know, don't say anything, they are defying science and growing well!)
I planted them on early april. They are all indica's. I do not know the name of the strain, so I call it... :fire:TIGERS EYE!:fire: ^^

The amount of info I have gained this year is insane. But the more I learn, the less I know.

OK so, I am putting them under a 24 hour light schedule, bringing them inside at night, and outside for sun. The light that I have is HPS 150 watt I believe. Nothing big, was given to me, its just enough to keep em' in veg cycle.

I am training them. Brought them horizontal once, let it grow for a second, then made the new dominants horizontal, further distributing the auxins. I think I am done with the training, each have about 12-15 dominant branches that are about 1 ft 2 inches high. The plants are doing well.

I would like to flower one of them to get some medicine. I am in pain, and out of moneys. At the height that it is now, would it be better to wait for it to grow taller? Meaning, would I be selling myself short if I flowered it at 1' 2"? or would it not be that much of a difference in QUANTITY? If so, how much of an ESTIMATED difference would it be you think, if I were to just let it grow bigger? Would it be a waste?!

I intend to let the rest of them grow pretty big before I start flowering them. (patience.......)

I have spent hours trying to get information on force flowering TRAINED plants, not much info out there. Lotta people are focused on just training the plants themselves. Not sure how the dynamics change from flowering a horizontal plant as opposed to a vertical.

I apologize if I am leaving you in the dark, please do ask me questions to further clarify information. I feel like a mother with newborns in each arm.

any informations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

all depends what you will be flowering them under. If you only have that 150 to flower with I'd switch the girls into flower. If you have a 600w hps then you could veg a lil longer. Remember that your plants will double in growth in flowering!

They are getting both sun AND the 150 watt hps lighting. when I eventually put them into flower, they will get mostly sun, then be put under the HPS light for the remainder of the 12 hours every day, then 12 hours total darkness.

Thank you for that tip, it makes sense that you would flower earlier if you do not have so much light in a complete indoor operation.
My goal is to have them grow to 2 feet so they end up at 4 feet by harvest.

How many do you plan on flowering under the 150w / sun ?

I have grown 2 females under a 150w alone.

They were 45 days apart in age ( doubt that matters tho )

If they are about a ft tall now they will probably hit the 3ft mark.

With what i know now , im pretty sure i can get 3 females flowering under my 150w HPS and a couple 42w CFLs.

I have 6 plants, am planning to flower one of them pretty soon because I would like to get SOME medicine going.

and that would be pretty nice if they reach 3'! I am planning to make a greenhouse in my yard this week. So I am thinking I will flower 1 of them as soon as it is built ^^

Id like to help more man, but i only know about indoor growing strictly . i have never read up on anything more.

So when you mention the sun i get confused as what you want.

If you have a indoor set up just keep the one you want to force to flower in there and use the 12/12 schedule.

Trim and LST to keep it the height you want..

Yea man. If your going to flower em outside then I'd veg them out longer. If your going to finish them under the 150w hps just keep them tied down because there isn't enough penetration from the 150w. And you'd get a decent amount of meds if you put one into flower now. My first time growing was in a greenhouse and it was pretty good. Remember that ventilation is still key...i didn't have any and I wish I had! Temps get crazy hot during the day in those things. Learn LST no matter what style you do and you'll be pleased with the end product
