Los Angeles hasnt really ever been a hockey city. Were all really into basketball but the Lakers embarassed us this year..

"fucking Dallas" may have beat us to the cup in years prior, but if they were the shit (they aren't!) they'd have been in the final playoffs with us magnificent LA Kings for this years playoff. Instead they are shit losers, not even good enough this year to make the final playoffs. Hell the loser punk Dallas Stars haven't won the cup since the end of the last friggen century & didn't make it to the final playoffs since 2000....so JohnnyO, you can suck it!

And I am happy for the team and the city.
What surprised me the most was after the last game, when the news reports made a big deal about it being L.A.'s first cup.
Which surprised me because I was under the impression they had won it at least once during the Gretzgy Era.
As it turned out they did not. All of the hype back in the day was just that.
Which made the L.A. Kings the Buffalo motherfucking Bills of hockey - until last week. lol
