i don't think this is white widow

this strain was given to me last autumn by a patient with cancer. he said it was given to him as white widow.

it took me forever to get one into the right shape for flowering, and this is my first harvest. she was put to flower in mid april.

this can't be white widow though. it is way too orange after ~55 days. the buds are the tiniest little fuckers i've ever seen. i waited and waited for them to swell up like normal buds. never happened.

judge for yourself and tell me this is not white widow.

average size of bud

look of the plant

half manicured bud (still need to remove sugar leaf)

it does look nice and resinous for being so small.

since i don't know what this is, i'll probably just gift this to the neighbors and call it 'weed'.

Hey Neighbor! ;)

Haha, disappointing when you expect a plant to put on weight, and it never does...lol...still looks nice and frosty though.

i put 2 more of these into flower a few weeks ago thinking that this plant was just a dud or anomaly, but those two look the exact same, tiny buds and all.

i bet this strain will get me high as fuck though by the looks of it. pretty frosty as far as plants go.

Never know, you could have something special on your hands. How's the scent?

i have little sense of smell. i can say that it smells like weed, but i can't say like what. and the wife is asleep, i usually ask her to tell me what they smell like.

this is the end of this strain. its leaves rust worse than headband if not fed to its finicky level and the buds are tinier than my dick, which is pretty tiny.

i have no clones of it and will not be taking any clones off the two remaining flowering plants.

widow's not a huge yielder, depends what seedbank you get it from though. those buds look way too small, even for widow, could have just got a shitty pheno though. id rather go with white rhino in the future if you like those white strains.

maybe the cancer patient got it from his friend because it was a bad pheno, but does it normally look this orange after 50-55 days?

i don't really seek out strains, i usually just accept them as gifts (usually after i gift someone a pinch to get them by) and see how they grow. GDP and star trek did so well that they aRe in my greenhouse, ditto a strain given to me by the same cancer patient which he calls '#1'. #1 is up next for harvest.

Why can't you smell?

Was it parrots?

never been able to smell a thing. i trained myself to smell gasoline, oranges, weed, and farts. i can't identify any other smells besides the general smell of cooking food, and only when i am hungry.

Does that mean your other senses make up for your lack of the sense of smell? Are you like some poultry raising superhero freak? Man, well, if you never really could smell, then you don't know what you're missing. I cook for a living, even went to some bullshit le cordon bleu school for it...I wonder if I could get disability if I lost my sense of smell........

I had a Dinafem WW last year that ended up producing like baseball nugs, no strong kolas...It was top notch though, almost looked a little like your mystery plant, but the buds got quite a bit bigger towards harvest.

i think i got a bullshit sniffer in exchange for an actual sniffer. the rest of my senses are average.

i've realized after many years that my taste is pretty weak, i usually choose foods based on texture and temperature.

Actually it looks very much like the widow plant I harvested. Very crystally but small buds. Makes my head spin when I smoke it.

Its also been debated that widow is a 10 to 12 week strain, if you only let it go 55 days maybe you didn't give it a chance to fully bud out?

I am no means a pro. Just passing on what I read here about widow when doing research for my plants.

There are multiple sources for "white widow" and each line would likely have different looks and phenotypes. It does look kinda like the white widow Chb grew a few years back though. Get Black Widow from MNS if you want to see what the original is really like.
