A superpower Bucky, refers to the military capability of a country to defend itself, were on the subject of the free market and what made America the greatest economy in the world. LOL
ok, so you want to reset the goal posts. OK. we can play that game.
before anti-trust laws, during the gilded age, we had one of the best rates of economic growth (if not the best, fuzzy on my history after some beer and bowls) in our nation's history. you're right.
by that metric, you'd have to say that china and india (and soon, brazil) have even better economies than we ever had. i mean, their rates of growth are explosive! it comes at a cost of workers dying on the line during heat waves and crossing unsafe bridges and passes, but oh well, right?
Since you rely so much on wikipedia, I'll give their definition of Crony Capitalism.
"Crony capitalism is a term describing an economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government."
Now explain how it exists without government, knucklehead!
that's the sarah palin version of crony capitalism. here is the definition of cronyism, it is slightly more abstract, which will make it infinitely tougher for you to understand.
Cronyism is partiality to long-standing friends, especially by appointing them to positions of authority, regardless of their qualifications.
warren harding ring a bell? LOL!
cronyism is going to occur with or without government involved in the free market. we have two options therefore: 1) root out the corruption in government that allows for crony capitalism or 2) get government out of the market entirely, leaving a bunch of cronies to get away with whatever they can without consequence and simply trust that magical conservative pixie dust will prevent collusion, monopolies, price gauging, and the like.
i happen to believe that with a more informed electorate and more stringent regulation, we can prevent a lot of the corruption that leads to crony capitalism. but hey, that's just me. other people like to believe that wealthy, powerful, monied interests will act in everyone's best interests when left to their own devices. i find that naive as fuck, but some people actually believe it.
That BS doesn't work on me fool, I rarely watch Fox News, never listen to talk radio either, but nice try.
It's no secret that most lefties use the same talking points when they can't put up a decent argument of their own.
Hey, how about that 25% tax you pay on that $28k income! LMAO
Good night rookie.
my rookie grow didn't include bleached yellow sugar leaf like yours did
and i posted proof of that tax rate, which made you incredibly butthurt.
have fun masturbating to sarah palin again. i know how much it enthralls you to do so.
