lumens are pretty pointless when talking about growing plants. they are the measurement of visible light to the human eye and mean absolutely nothing when growing a plant.Ambient temp in the room 70*F ......450 cfm exhaust
Tent with a 1000 is in the 80s...... tent with a 600 is in the mid 70s.
Lumens fer sq ft......4400 lumens per sq ft with the 1000s...only 2400 with the 600....great gardens stay above the 3000 mark

1000w or supplemental lighting like canna said. if your hood is vented correctly then you should have no problem cooling a 1000w light in that tent. it's just a matter of correct setup.
i've been a member here for 2 years now with this account and my old one. any chance you are gonna get a "new" picture of this "commercial" grow. i've seen that SAME EXACT 2-3 pictures 50 times in the last 2 years. again, you are talking about lumens and that's pointless in my opinion. lumens don't grow plants. you'd be better off at least saying watts per square foot or something. at least then we'd be getting a more realistic idea of the amount of usable light in the space.really...well slap my face and call me a dumb wihite dude
.
when I use my light meter the 1000 has almost twice the footcanldes as the 600.... just like the 1000 has almost twice the lumes per sq foot as the 600 hummmmmm
thats why they tell you a 1000 covers a 5x5 - 6x6 area sq..... that gives you 4200- 3055 lumens per sq foot....anything above 3000 will be a great garden
I dont use the cooled hoods .....theres no need to if you have adaquit exhaust
In our commercial grows.... we set up 1 - 1000 wattter per 6x6 sq and average 12-15 lbs
