Watched E61 and all I can say is Damn it! Dose not sound like the beef stew will be a keeper for TGA. Oh well no beef stew for me, unless someone wants to allow me to dispose of the left over seeds kiss-ass!

Any who.

Great job growing them Meds man they looked amazing. And I enjoyed taking the journey with you, fantastic job on the thread my friend.

Thanks for the kind words :-)

The GQxJTR is out there and will live on if it isn't released. The yield on certain phenos is really incredible but, personally, we are searching for those super elites so GQxJTR won't stay in our garden.

Next thread will probably be SpaceDawg...

kick ass bro, space dawg is up next for me too......prolly not till after summer though.....going to run the cheesequake with it......you going to be in SF in June?

my guess is the 1 gallon pots on the hermi? Plant got rootbound and blew out nanners cause it was stressed? It'd be interesting to see if the same thing would have happened in 7 gallon pots.
I don't think that's the case.. People flower in party cups with no hermies

I bet you are going to dig the Cheese Quake. I love it for all day pain relief, one of my favorite strains these days.

And I hope to be in SF.. just saw that you are going to try as well. Be cool to medicate together. Fingers crossed..

Yeah, the plant hermied next to 12 other strains/phenos (none the same) growing with the exact same conditions. It was the plant (or could have been stressed somehow that the others weren't). Either way, no reason to keep her, too many other great females out there.

People somehow miraculously make it through grows in party cups without hermis (and I have a feeling many of them do experience it, with or without their knowledge). Im also uncertain how many people are growing 30-50 gram plants in party cups. A 20 gram plant might not take the stress of being rootbound as badly as one thats trying to support 50 grams of bud weight on it. Stress is a funny thing to me. Just cause 1 plant can survive in 95+ temps doesnt mean another will. Likewise, I feel like some plants will do just fine in party cups (although the amount of grade A bud on it might be quite low, a lot of fluff), where as others want to maximize root production, and really dont like it when someone messes with that.

I agree that any tendency to hermi in the genetics is not desirable, but I also believe that those same genetics (chemdawg cough) can still produce grade A+++ bud when the proper precautions are taken by the grower, no how insignificant it might seem to a different plant. Phenotype = genotype + environment. The same genotype grown in a different environment in general may not display those traits.

I just cant wait to have more space to test my hypothesis. Until then, I'm trying to stay away from anything reported as hermi (including fem beans).

UPDATE 06/20/12: GQxJTR#1 Lives On.

With an empty spot in our bloom room, GQxJTR#1 was given a second run in a 10 gallon SmartPot to see how she would perform. During our 1 gallon test run she was the clear keeper of our 3 phenos and now, at just over 6 weeks into flower, her buds are looking absolutely BOMB. The only thing at this point that will exclude her from future runs is her height.. she towers over all other plants in the room which causes problems for us. We like to keep our lights down tight on the canopy and GQxJTR#1, by herself, blows this for us in our set up. Too bad for us... a keeper for others perhaps... love to see how she would do outdoors...

Let's see some images at Day 44 Flower:

I recommend WA or OR. I lived in CO for 10 years, CA for 3 and have family outside Seattle. We live in Oregon and love it.

Seattle area is probably the best for me for finding a job (techie)... I do think WA and OR are where it's at to live if you grow :) I'm probably going to put out some resumes in Portland as well but there is just not as big of a job market there for what I do as the seattle area. I had a feeling you were in OR when I saw sub talk about meeting up with you in person on another thread -- did you already reveal what seeds he gave you? He said two things and I'm not sure if HarlequinX was one or not but curious what he gave you that's new to grow :) You have no idea how jealous I am -- I wanna be a test grower living w/ a med license in WA or OR :) Hoping the economy gets a bit better by this time next year or at least no worse :) Shouldn't have too much problem getting a job as long as it's not worse I think.

Yes, Seattle is best for tech and you shouldn't have a problem finding work there. Oregon is tough on the job front but there is some promise here in the Silicon Forest. Worth a shot for sure.

I am running HarlequinX for Sub right now, plus another strain from him that isn't TGA, Oregon Blues (Oregon Diesel x Jamaican). I have another 6+ TGA strains on hold, just waiting for the space. I imagine I will run all TGA gear at some point and document my results. All Sub's genetics are super sexy and photograph really well, plus the resin profiles fit nicely with my butter making fetish.

I was just going to ask you if the other was Oregon Blues -- even more jealous now -- when are you getting a thread for that going or are you? What are the other TGA strains you have waiting?

WA is def. a nice place with great scenary and land. seattle area can be pretty rainy though.. I'm sure some the bigger cities have good tech jobs around seattle as well if your wanting be outside city little more. eastern WA gets alot less rain has nicer summers but cold hell during winter, lots of farms and crops out towars eastern WA.. Loved it up there can't wait to go back. I enjoyed cali too just not all the people more so weather and beaches otherwise dont care for it there to much.
