Hi everyone, So basically these plants have been growing for just over 5 months now.
for 4 months they where indoor in a very small pot to top them from getting big.

they where put outside just over a month ago and have began to show some scary signs on the leaves,

my question is, what are these signs from and what is there meaning/ what can be done to fix it.

I have been thinking maybe its snails or slugs although I have not seen them crawling on the plants. I have noticed sometimes there are areas of sticky bubbly shit that looks like saliva in the corner of some branches.

-the last photo shows a leaf that is discolored in certain spots. is that from water magnifying on the leaves in the sun and burning the surface?

please help me with this dilemma,
Thanks!

btw the strains are:
Canadian chemo
Dutch Passion Skunk #11
and some cross breed

Looks like bugs to me. Have you looked them over for pests? I don't think water spots would make those holes.

Deffo looks like a pest eating away at the leaves - I would think water spots would evaporate prior to "burning holes".

Do you have the option to put them back inside?

i cant move them inside, they are about 2 1/2- 3 feet tall.

I looked for pests and couldnt see anything. although one of the pots had a little hole in the top layer of the soil, im thinking that something might have tried to burrow its way in.

I was looking around in other posts and read that you can spray a mixture of garlic, peppermint, dish soap, and peppers directly on the plant and bugs will go away..

would this method work and not harm the plants?

i did find a speck of black stuff around one of the branching points. maybe Caterpillar? but it seems like whatever it is only comes out at night since i never see anything on them during the day

Looks like grubs or caterpillars ,get some chemicals for plants that kill or deter them.

I would probably just sprinkle them with Sevin Dust...I like it...easy to use and kills lots of things.

so last night I went to check on them and found this little muther fucker on a leaf with a penny size of plant missing :O it looked like a leach but 10x smaller. probably a slug of some sort. would the neem oil spray above work to fight against these bastards? and I was wondering if that spray is the right one, since it says it makes a shine and doesnt say anything about plant protection

thanks!

Well if slugs are your issue, than you can just put a ring of copper wire around the bottom of each plant stem...slugs, mice, and other creepy critters won't mess with it because copper touching copper makes a small electric charge that small things can feel and thusly avoid.

is this the critter you saw on your plant?

Hammerhead Worm (3).JPGflatworm.jpg

if so, kill them. they murder earthworms. they are a non-native invasive species unless you live in south east asia. they are disgusting looking but harmless to you. its called a Planarian Flatworm.

the damage on your leafs looks like earwigs or beetles. neem can kill them, so can sevin, sevin would do better, but if your planted in the woods, use this:

in a saucepan on the stove, simmer

3 cups water
a large handful of peppermint leaves and stems
6 cloves fresh garlic finely minced (no powdered garlic! it doesnt work and clogs your sprayer!)
3 tablespoons (or more) cayenne pepper flakes

simmer for 45 minutes strain through a cloth (piece of old T-shirt works good) let cool and pour into sprayer add 1 tablespoon biodegradable dish soap, top off sprayer with water put on a dust mask and ski goggles (super important) and Spray Thoroughly on both sides of leaves!
Dont saturate your soil, as this stuff is not good for your earthworms and other friendly soil creatures.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap before touching eyes mouth genitals or butthole (really really hot stuff)

it's non toxic (just spicy as hell) and washes off with water easily do not use on your buds unless you're a masochist. wash any produce before eating. and seriously, wash hands with soap before wiping your ass or holding your dick.

once a week will keep aphids slugs snails deer squirrels and whiteflies in check like a motherfucker.

Warning: may attract Hispanic, Thai, and Punjabi cuisine aficionados. do not store near salsa fixins or noodles and shrimp.

anything that bites your plant will be unhappy and most small critter will die.

true, yea i put a couple pennies around the stem but they arnt touching so i guess i should add more to make sure they touch. lol they stopped production of the penny because it costs them to much so im using as little as possible, and the pennies here are only 4.5%copper which is the platting.
but yea im gonna take some ethernet cable and strip it to the copper, maybe make a couple coils to build up a flux and emf since the wire is very thin.

lmao, that last part is jokes. ok i will try this recipe out. im going to take before and after pictures and see if things get worse, stay the same, or get better. as of right now i will try the neem oil and the copper wire because no one (except me) likes garlic so i need to buy some.

and the bug doesnt look like that, that is some alien looking fucker. I probably would burn it if i saw it. what i have are like mini larvai things, no shell, well kinda but its a squishy shell kinda. if i see it i will snap a pic.

thanks!

The mixture does work, I would put small amount of dish soap in a spray bottle and spray them right now. Remove the leaves that are eaten alive by cutting them right at the base of the leaf. Let the stem die and fall off on its own. If I had to guess with the black shit you mentioned I would say grass hoppers. They devistate a plant like that in a day.

Get the soap on there now and spary it in the morning and the night until the problem goes away

its the cynothoglys i think, just a bit more round.

I went today and sprayed with neem oil, i will fill up the bottle with dish soap and go back soon to start that.

one of them is looking kinda weird where the pistols are meant to come out. im not sure if this is a male or hermi because there are some hairs coming out at some spots and other spots it looks like a tightly curled up leaf.
