Are you really so clueless that you think an atheist cannot believe in ghosts? A ghost is not a god, therefore atheism says nothing about someone's belief in ghosts.I dont believe in ghosts in the sense that they are dead peoples spirits that didnt move on, but I do believe that there is a spirtitual world that exists next to and within our world. There are plenty of people that have been physically harmed by "ghosts". They usually say its an angry spirit. Its not, its a demon. Most of the time when people are being haunted and shit it is a host of demons that are there.. I dont really think that our spirits linger around, only angels and demons.
edit: if your an atheist, why start a thread like this? It seems like your only looking for ppl to argue with.
Most atheist deny the existence of ghosts because they deny the existence of a spiritual world. I got into a debate about that with alot of atheists here on RIU not too long ago.Are you really so clueless that you think an atheist cannot believe in ghosts? No. You are applying a label of atheist to a person that probably should be considered a skeptical rationalist or some other critical thinker. As pointed out, a great deal of critical thinkers are atheists, but most atheists are not necessarily a science-minded skeptic. In fact, many people believe in ghosts and a spiritual world do not believe in a god. You have no idea what 'most atheists' believe because the label is about one thing that they don't believe in and tells you absolutely nothing about what the person DOES believe. This has been mentioned to you in other threads. It would be helpful if you paid attention. Most atheist deny the existence of ghosts because they deny the existence of a spiritual world. ...just not the 'Holy' one? Serious question. Are you really so clueless that you think an atheist cannot believe in ghosts? A ghost is not a god, therefore atheism says nothing about someone's belief in ghosts.
I've heard the Holy Ghost referred to as the Larry Fine of the triad...The Holy Ghost always struck me as a spare, or an appendix. No apparent function but always part of the set. cn
That suggests another, hidden layer in the theological hierarchy! cnI've heard the Holy Ghost referred to as the Larry Fine of the triad...
Yahweh LOVES him some slapstick! That suggests another, hidden layer in the theological hierarchy! cn
The holy ghost is the part of gods spirit that resides within everyone. Jesus was god in human form, and god is just godThe Holy Ghost always struck me as a spare, or an appendix. No apparent function but always part of the set. cn
You say that as if it were fact. It is neither fact nor certain lie. But it absolutely, beyond argument, is not fact. (My opinion.) (Of course.) cnThe holy ghost is the part of gods spirit that resides within everyone. Jesus was god in human form, and god is just god
Its not fact in a proveable type of way, but it is fact in a rules type of way.You say that as if it were fact. It is neither fact nor certain lie. But it absolutely, beyond argument, is not fact. (My opinion.) (Of course.) cn
Which rules? I have only seen such rules administered by the black robes. It also smacks of circularity. Its not fact in a provable type of way, but it is fact in a rules type of way.
I meant in a way of even if its not true, you asked what was written and I told you kinda wayWhich rules? I have only seen such rules administered by the black robes. It also smacks of circularity.
"We enforce the rules."
"Who authorized this?"
"God."
"Where?"
In this book of rules.

Sweet setup, if you have a robe.cn
I'll admit: I don't understand what you mean. cnI meant in a way of even if its not true, you asked what was written and I told you kinda way
