Flowering period

Hello!
So, SWIM planted some feminised SSH seeds a while ago, approximately 5 months, and two weeks ago he put them to 12/12 schedule.
(at this point I tried uploading some pictures, but there appears to be something wrong. I'll try to edit the thread later from a different computer, to see if that's the problem)
There are 72 plants, under 4 30W white super LEDs on each side of a 4 by 5m room and 4 90W cool white neons in the middle for assistance to LEDs.
But now I wonder, why 2 weeks into flowering nothing has happened yet. I mean, there should be at least some change by now or not? Is he doing something wrong? This is his first grow after all...

Need more posts before you can use pictures. :) My plant took 3 weeks to show sex, but man she's showing it loud and proud.

This is utter nonsense. I have never in all of my growing waited for them to show sex prior to going 12/12 and never experienced an issue. Just as countless other growers ahve done as well. You do know you can grow 12/12 directly from seed without an issue yeah?

Wait, what? What was he supposed to do then? The plants were on 18/6 lightning for almost half a year, and only grew leaves. And now they continue to do so as well. They grew like 25 cms in 2 weeks, but no buds or anything...

Thanks for those replies! I was already panicking! The lights are set form 8 till 8 over the day, so no sunlight could get in anyway, but the only window is also closed from the outside with shutters and on the inside there is a thick blanket for addition. Should he switch to 11/13 maybe?

This is what cannabis does when it enters flowering. It will stretch and double to triple in size and then start putting out it's buds.

I kind of agree with both. Flowering when growing from seed will produce a better yield if vegging until maturity (when branches start growing alternate instead of opposite). Not sure about hermies though. 2 weeks is a long time for sex to show. Are you sure there are no light leaks? If not, I bet they show in the next few days.

They are 90% Sativa / 10% Inidica.

Oh god, they are up to 170 cm tall already, I hope they won't hit the ceiling as I've heard they grow up to 4 meters high on outdoor :P

The OP has not even stated yet whether there are signs of sex etc, just that they're not "flowering".By flowering do you mean you're looking for big buds, or for signs of pistils?

For future reference when you put a plant into flowering, it will double, triple, even quadruple in size. If they're gonna hit the ceiling, then read up on supercropping and ways to train the height of the plant without cutting off the growth.

I'm looking for any kind of change, a different grow, as I've observed them daily since they sprung. I do not expect heavy buds in just a matter of days, but some change was expected in two weeks. I've never seen the plant flower before, so I don't even know what I must pay atention to.
Yes, neons with cool white light. It says all over the internet they are appropriate for growth.

i bet its the combination of those weird lights. i cant understand how somebody can come on here and make statements like you will get all hermies if you dont wait until sexed. utter nonsense. thats like the one that said a wall ac acts as a humidifier and then proceeded to want me to post proof he was wrong.

You do not need a certain amount of posts to post pictures. Just yet more bullshit advice being given out :( So many peopleon this site who don't have a clue what they are talking about but will spout it as fact anyway :/

To post a picture, just click insert image button on the right hand side of quick reply, and then either locate the file, or click the url tab and post the pic via a url. It should then upload and badabingbadaboom

Just a case of obtaining the .jpg url. If you click on one of your links and then right click on the image, it gives you the option of viewing different sizes, i just clicked on the largest size and then right clicked again on the new larger image and clicked view image in new tab, viola, copy and use that url.
